You can also try to delete the files extensions.* (extensions.rdf, extensions.cache, extensions.ini) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.
See "Corrupt extension files": http://kb.mozillazine.org/Unable_to_install_themes_or_extensions
If you see disabled extensions that are not compatible on the next start in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the "Find Updates" button to do a compatibility check.

If you right click on your toolbar, there is an option to customize your toolbars. There should be a Clipmarks icon you could drag and add to your toolbar.
Another place to check would be the Clipmarks extension preferences. Go to Tools > Add-ons to see all your extensions and each entry should have a preferences button (if they choose to implement it)

I found no clipmarks icon as suggested
I would like to thank JYOuyang as this person helped solve my problem. How simple, but if a person doesn't know. Thank You.
You're welcome, rexeddie. Happy to be of assistance.

@ JYOuyang - Thanks ! I'm like, "Duh!" - but I'm pretty sure the Clipmarks icon wasn't in the options dialog until I installed the latest version.
Cheers, Mark
