Am unable to update Adobe reader.
Download goes fine until I open the installer and when it tries to connect I get connection failed, try again. Retry is the same. Have tried this a dozen times over the last week . am thoroughly frustrated. Have tried all the how to's I can find and just can't figure out why the connection fails. Is there a setting I'm missing or need to change maybe? All my others apps and plugin's work fine. Help!

Hi Abyox, I understand that you are trying to update Adobe Acrobat Reader. What url are you using to download the update? And if you are updating automatically, does a fresh install give the same error from: http://www.adobe.com/support/download.../detail.jsp?ftpID=5559?
Also please check to make sure that there is not a firewall, or antivirus that might be blocking updates.
Adobe has an "Enterprise" download site that might have installers that work without needing to connect back to Adobe during installation. That extra step sometimes is blocked by security software.

Notes:
- I recommend Adobe Reader 11 and not the new DC unless you are ready for an interface change.
- After installing 11.0.10, you'll need to use the Help menu in Adobe Reader to Check for Updates to get 11.0.11 (for some reason it's not available for direct download)
