কিছু ওয়েবসাইট যেখানে নির্দিষ্ট ব্রাউজার বা নির্দিষ্ট ভার্সন দরকার হয়, সে সব ওয়েবসাইট ভুল করে আপনার ইন্সটলকৃত Firefox ভার্সন অনুযায়ী এই ত্রুটি দেখায় । এতে আপনার যে সব সমস্যা হতে পারে সেগুলো হলঃ

  • ওয়েবসাইট সঠিক ভাবে কাজ করবে না, ফায়ারফক্স এর সর্বশেষ ভার্সন থাকার পরেও ওয়েবসাইটে outdated বা unsupported বা incompatible দেখাবে বা আপনার ব্রাউজার আপগ্রেড করতে বলবে ।
  • আপনি Mozilla Add-ons ওয়েবসাইট থেকে Extension বা Theme ইন্সটল করতে পারবেন না কারন এটা ভুল করে সনাক্ত করছে যে আপনি অন্য ব্রাউজার বা Firefox এর পুরাতন ভার্সন ব্যবহার করছেন ।

Firefox ভুল User Agent দেখাচ্ছে

যদি ওয়েবসাইট বা আপনার ইন্সটলকৃত Firefox ভার্সন এ সামঞ্জস্যপূর্ণ হয়, তাহলে আপনার Firefox এর "User Agent" string এর কারনে হতে পারে, যা ওয়েবসাইট এ ব্রাউজার এর ধরণ সনাক্ত করে । You can remedy this problem by resetting your user agent in your Firefox preference settings. আপনার Firefox preference settings থেকে user agent reset করে এই সমস্যার সমাধান করতে পারেন ।

আপনার user agent reset করার জন্য:

  1. address bar এ, টাইপ করুন about:config এবং প্রেস করুন EnterReturn।

    • এই about:config এ "This might void your warranty!" এই সতর্ক বার্তা প্রদর্শিত হতে পারে। about:config page এর সাথে থাকতে ক্লিক করুন I accept the risk!।
  2. সার্চ করুন useragent লিখে FilterSearch field এ ।
  3. মাউসের ডান বাটনে ক্লিক করুনক্লিক করার সময় Control চেপে ধরুন on each of these preferences, if they exist, and select Reset from the context menu.
  • general.useragent.extra.firefox
  • general.useragent.extra.productName - where productName can be the name of some third party software (e.g. microsoftdotnet).

আপনার user agent reset করার পরে, আপনার cookies বা cache মুছে ফেলার দরকার হতে পারে:

  1. লাইব্রেরি বাটনে ক্লিক করুন 57 library icon,History তে ক্লিক করুন এবং Clear Recent History… নির্বাচন করুণ।
  2. Time Range to clear: থেকে Everything বেছে নিন।
  3. Details এর পাশে যে তীর চিহ্ন আছে, সেটি ক্লিক করলে যেসব আইটেম আপনি মুছে ফেলতে চান তার একটি তালিকা আসবে।
  4. Cookies এবং Cache দুটোই নির্বাচন করুন।
  5. Clear Now এ ক্লিক করুন।

কিছু ওয়েবসাইট ভুল করে Firefox এর ভার্সন 1 কে সর্বশেষ ভার্সন (ভার্সন 10 বা এর উপরের গুলোর পরিবর্তে) হিসেবে দেখে এবং মনে করে Firefox outdated, incompatible, বা সাপোর্ট করে না । আমরা ওয়েবসাইট গুলোর সাথে এই সমস্যা নিয়ে কাজ করতেছি । আপনি এই বার্তা অগ্রাহ্য করতে পারেন কিন্তু আপনি সমস্যাকৃত এই ওয়েবসাইট রিপোর্ট করতে পারেন:

  1. Firefox উইন্ডো এর উপরে, Firefox button এ ক্লিক করুন, Help মেনু তে যান (Windows XP এর জন্য: Help মেনু তে ক্লিক করুন) এবং Select করুনSubmit Feedback... । Firefox উইন্ডো এর উপরে, Help এ ক্লিক করুন এবং select করুনSubmit Feedback...।মেনু বারে, Help menu তে ক্লিক করুন এবং select করুন Submit Feedback...। নতুন উইন্ডোতে Submit Your Feedback পেজ ওপেন হবে ।

  4. Submit Feedback বাটনে ক্লিক করুন ।

broken ওয়েবসাইট এর জন্য

আপনি ওয়েবসাইট এর কার্যাবলী কাজ করানোর জন্য সাময়িকভাবে Firefox কে অন্য ব্রাউজার হিসেবে ছদ্মবেশ দিতে পারেন । এটা করতে হলে, আপনাকে User Agent Switcher extension ইন্সটল করতে হবে:

  1. User Agent Switcher add-on pageএ যান ।
  2. সবুজ Add to Firefox বাটনে ক্লিক করুন এবং add-on টি ইন্সটল করুন ।
  3. Restart Now ক্লিক করুন ।

When Firefox restarts, you can disguise your Firefox user agent so that websites think you are using Firefox 9.0.1, as follows:

  1. For Windows 7 and Vista, press the Alt key to bring up the old-style menu bar at the top of the Firefox window.
  2. Go to the Tools menu, down to Default User Agent and then select Edit User Agents....

  3. In the User Agent Switcher options window, click New and select New User Agent...
  4. In the User Agent window, add a description (for example, Firefox 9), change the last number of the user agent to 9.0.1 and then click OK.

  5. Next, go back to the Tools menu, down to Default User Agent and this time select the new user agent that you just created.

  6. Finally, reload the page and it should work normally.

Note: User Agent Switcher will automatically restore the Default User Agent when you next close and restart Firefox. You will need to reselect the new Firefox 9 user agent, each time you restart Firefox and visit the problematic website.
