I let a Level1 Tech Support talk me into permanently deleting the entire %appdata% directory (Win7 laptop, emptied Recycle Bin). Without realizing I had wiped out my entire Thunderbird structure, when I later opened Thunderbird I got an entire new configuration. I immediately bought a recovery tool and copied all the files I could to an external drive. Out of ~69,000 files, I'm guessing a couple hundred were already overwritten. I searched the Mozilla Support threads and could only find issues related to restoring profiles and other specific missing files, nothing covering such catastrophic destruction. Since I have used Thunderbird for over 3 years and am an email hoarder, I estimate I had over 20,000 emails saved in ~20 folders, most with ~5 sub-folders. And I had installed many plug-ins, etc. Has anyone rebuilt their system under similar circumstances? Is there a document describing all the files I will need to make it work properly (I'm guessing a few of the unrecoverable files will turn out to be crucial)? Thanks
