Check Account Settings -> Copies & Folders -> Place a copy in: to set where the sent mail is saved. I put mine in 'Sent Mail on xxxxxx@gmail.com'

It was already set up that way. I did notice one thing different on this account. The letter symbol next to my email address has a brass lock on top of it. I wonder if that has something to do with it? If I click other in Check Account Settings -> Copies & Folders -> Place a copy in and put in another folder it does put my forwarded emails in the new folder. Any help is appreciated.

In looking at my own gmail setup, I noticed that under 'Copies & Folders' it refers to the "Sent" folder in the first bullet, and "Sent Mail" in the 'Other' bullet. Looking at the list of folders under my [Gmail] folder I have "Sent Mail" rather than "Sent". Could you be directing it to a non-existent folder?

Since you are using POP and have your mail on your local computer, does it work for you to have the new folder you defined to save your sent mail?

BTW, my email address has the same lock symbol on it.
