Hello,

Just can't seem to get the Thunderbird view right in terms of font size of the screen messages. Everything apart from the top view menu is tiny. I'm running 2560 x 1440 and all other apps are fine. There are various font ajdustments in the View menu option but nothing seems to make the app useable today for me. I'm sorry in and advance if this is my error but it was reasonably good prior to the supernova update. Can somebody offer help or is this a bug ? Picture of the window attached. Todays update (2nd March 2023) made no improvement. Thanks in advance for some help.

Hi all, 2 main control issues. Where did the DELETE button go on this latest series of release? Now on 0b7, the Flame icon used to mark an email as spam, no longer functions.

These together have doubled my time managing my daily email.

Thanks, Matt

You folks are GREAT!. I submitted an "observation" that on a previous version a change in the way subfolders are opened. The ability to hover over a folder to bring forth the subfolder list had been eliminated. And ... the feature was restored in the next update. That is clearly the best, most responsive reply than from any other support activity in my experience. Congratulations for our -great- work, and Thank You.

george, using Thunderbird now for more years than I can remember.

In the new Thunderbird 112.0 Beta 3, I can't scroll through my Message Filters.

If I click on Tools, then Message Filters, then select the pull down (Filter for:) and select Local Folders, I get no scroll bar. Since the first filter is selected, I can scroll with the arrow keys, BUT, the list does not move at all.

It is list the window is the full size of the list. Shrinking the window down and maximizing it makes no difference.

Any ideas?

Hello,

Recently I have upgraded from Thunderbird 102 to 112, and I noticed that the unread and total mail counts which appeared on the right side of the status bar has been disappeared. Exploring options and other menus didn't help. Didn't want to dive into config explorer, because I don't want to tweak settings there much.

Are these counts removed from latest versions, or are they turned off somewhere, so I can turn them on?

Thanks in advance,

Cheers,

H.

I didn't see a Thunderbird Beta forum, so please point me to the right place if this isn't correct.

I am currently running TB Beta 112b5 on two machines right now. After the update a weird thing happened to my "Favorite Folders" Section. One of the machines was fine. The other ended up adding an account folder for one of my e-mail accounts. There was no option to "remove" it like normal Favorite Folders.

I couldn't find any setting to remove it and even looked in Config Editor. I removed the account completely and, yes, it removed the Favorite Folders entry. However, the minute I added the account back, it returned.

The only fix I found was to copy the profile from the other machine over, delete the current profile, and replace it. That worked.

Is this a bug in the beta that just happened to manifest on one machine and not the other, or is there a Favorites Folder setting I missed that somehow added the account folder rather than an individual folder/subfolder? Thanks.

My Thunderbird beta updated when I opened it this morning. Despite looking everywhere, adjusting what I could, and spending time undoing and redoing settings in an attempt to get the columns to appear in my display, I could not get it to happen. I have no columns and can only display the email list as taller rows, limiting the number of emails listed to less than half of what it used to be. I also cannot click on any button (because they are unavailable) to show an email as read/unread, cannot see the junk mail icon lit up, sort by attachments, date, name, show priority level, etc. I still have the regular version of Thunderbird installed because I know beta can be glitchy. I will use that until I can find a way to display my emails using the columns and not just the rows with limited information. I would love to know how to fix this. I have looked and tried everything I can think of. Any suggestions?

Please disregard below - I have joined the TB Beta group discussion and found this link regarding my issue, but I have yet to figure out how to make the like changes which user HS6666 was able to perform. I welcome anyone that can share this steps. https://thunderbird.topicbox.com/groups/beta/Tc91f881568f3af8e/large-empty-area-at-the-top

I may have been 2 patches down level. 3/16/2023 last night around 7pm (EST) Thunderbird Beta was acting very strange, I rebooted my PC but didn't start Thunderbird until this morning 3/17/2023. I quickly noticed the UI looked completed different - my custom menu (not sure correct name) was no longer present. See attachment where I did attempt to customize the Toolbar, also notice the search bar is at same bar, I don't recall ever have a prior "search" area, I would using use the (edit>find>search messages). I attempted to recreate them (Print, Mark, Get Message), but I don't recall each custom change I made prior. The new UI looks WAY different - I'm not pleased that I have to relearn everything, I read on "Changes" for 112.0b1 that some fixes for Various Unified Toolbar improvements and Various visual and UX improvements were "Fixed" but I without reading each note to figure out what I need to do to get the UI close to what it looked like before - I am posting this issue with hopes others can advise me and if they too have had this issue. Thanks in advance - Jim - How do I get them back as before?

Thunderbird 111.0b3 shows this behavior:

  1. I select a line in the email-list.
  2. I press key "1".
  3. Thunderbird tags this email as "Important" and colors the selected line in red (screenshot 1), which is fine.
  4. I select another email/line.
  5. The previously tagged line is not colored red anymore (which is an error, I think - some days ago Thunderbird colored all "important"-tagged lines in red).
  6. When I mark the previously tagged line, it's colored red again. So the tag information still exists. It's just not shown as long as the line is not selected.
