Hi,

My computer was on during the week-end and when I came back home I noticed we had a couple of power outages. Computer restarted automatically (Win 10 22h2) and when I launched Firefox, it started as brand new with all my addons gone and none of the previous session restored (I had 4 Firefox browsers opened with each 20+ tabs opened).

I have tried looking at C:\Users\MYUSER\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles but found nothing of interest. Where is everything and how can I restore everything I had ?

I even tried Troubleshooting mode and downgrading to a former version of Firefox (126.0.1 64 bits).

Hi, hope someone can help please

By mistake I set up my 89 year old aunties TB using a Beta version. All of her emails are in that profile. I then installed the stable version but I'm told that the stable version is an older versions and can not import from the Beta.

Specifically the Beta version is 127.0b4 (64-bit) and the stable vesrion is 115.11.1 (64-bit).

Is there any way to recover the emails (and if possible the settings) from the Beta profile to the stable release

Hi - I updated my Firefox / Mozilla browser yesterday and now all types of downloads are failing. PDFs and EXEs alike. I can't an error that says Failed.

And yet, when I use Chrome or Edge, the downloads work fine, soooo - not sure what is going on.

I am trying to transfer my email from one old PC using windows Live Mail (2012) to a laptop with Thunderbird to process the emails. The email server is with a company called Plusnet, and they can send me their own emails, which are received by Thunderbird on my Laptop. All my other emails continue to be sent to the Windows Live Mail on the old PC. Plusnet advise me that the problem is with Windows Live Mail. Any ideas how to resolve the problem? David Owen

I read that thunderbird works with Microsoft 365 and modern authentication. I tested with Microsoft 365 accounts and it worked fine. The problems come with an accounting of Microsoft 365 operated by 21vianet service.

I configured according to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/microsoft-oauth-authentication-and-thunderbird-202 with the IMAP and SMTP settings from https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/settings-for-pop-and-imap-access-for-microsoft-365-operated-by-21vianet-ca51235d-afc5-4d7d-843c-3616a37d5771

It complaints "The IMAP server partner.outlook.cn does not support the selected authentication method. Please change the 'Authentication method' in the 'Account Settings | Server settings.'"

In SMTP settings there is no option to configure OAuth2

After Thunderbird asked me to download a new version & I donated money, all my subfolders to the left have disappeared. ALL my information stored/ emails placed in the subfolders are gone. I have sent several requests asking for HELP. This has been so frustrating I do not want to recommend anyone to use Thunderbird. This has nev er happened to me before and I cannot seem to receive an easy solution a t my end. All folders & emails dumbed into folders are gone???? I need HELP Please.....

Hello, I am currently facing a problem. Yesterday, I passed a message from https://firefox-source-docs.mozilla.org/setup/linux_build.html#building ---The official documentation for firefox on Linux compiles and installs a Linux system with aarch64 architecture on an Ubuntu host with x86 architecture. In fact, I only modified a file called ". mozconfig" and added the following information: "ac-add-options -- target=aarch64-linux-gnu mk-add-options MOZ-OBJDIR=@TOPSRCDIR@/obj-aarch64-linux mk-add-options AUTOCLOBBER=1". After compiling for a while, I obtained a folder called "obj-aarch64-linux". I used the command "file /obj-aarch64-linux/dist/bin/firefox" to check the properties of the knowability file as follows: " firefox: ELF 64 bit LSB shared object, ARM aarch64, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked, interpreter/lib/ld Linux arch64. so. 1, for GNU/Linux 3.7.0, BuildID [md5/uuid]=6b1bede035b0d0bc9930d0d4d88c3c14, with debug_info, not stripped ”. I think I have completed cross compilation, so I compressed the "obj-aarch64-linux" folder on a USB drive and copied it to my aarch64 architecture development board. And when I tried to launch the browser on the development board using the "./obj-aarch64-linux/dist/bin/firefox" command, I received an error message saying "Couldn't load XPCOM". It is worth mentioning that firefox is installed by default on my development board, but I need to compile and install its source code, and local compilation cannot be achieved on my development board, so I made the above operation. Upgraded to the newest version of Thunderbird, 115.11.1 (64-bit) and now I can not get into my emails on bellsouth.net. . Error message "Sending of password for user xyz123@bellsouth.net did not succeed. Mail server inbound.att.net responded: [SYS/TEMP] Server error - Please try again later." I keep trying but same error for two days now. I can get my email on the web (Yahoo mail) ok. I double checked the setting and everything is good and migrated to the new version ok.

I want replace firefox Windows Mozilla MSIX 1- 0 package browser from ms store with regular downloaded version but I do not want to lose all my settings.

How do I go about this?

I have downloaded my Emil to my laptop using thunderbird and then I try to change the name of storage folder to D:\gmail and after that I could not find my previously downloaded email.I need to jknow how I can file my previous downloaded folder.

I have been stuggling to transfer my emails from a windows PC using Windows live Mail, to a laptop using Thunderbird. I have just spoken to my email provider (Plusnet) and they have sent a test email which is received by Thunderbird. But all my emails keep arriving on the old machine. I restarted my Windows 11 laptop and got error message about user profile. Restarted again and looks like it was corrupted so deleted my my user profile and Firefox config and bookmarks are gone!

Still have all the files just a new user profile and the old one is gone?

Any help how to get Firefox bookmarks back would be much appreciated

Trying to use my old profile on a fresh install.

After trying a few things I ended up with an error that the profile couldn't be loaded or was inaccessible.

So I did the following:

1) started the profile manager 2) removed all profiles 3) created a new profile 4) changed the name of the folder in the file system 5) copied my old profile folder to the same spot with the same name that the profile manager gave it

When I started thunderbird, I was just expecting it to load with my old profile.

Instead, I got the Account Setup screen.

I don't want to setup my email account, as I'm worried it will start downloading all my emails, and store them in who knows what profile. I could not see a way to start Thunderbird without it successfully connecting to an email server in this setup process.

Any suggestions for just getting mozilla to start and load my old profile please?

I reinstalled Windows because my Windows got basically completely corrupted, I tried to log in to Firefox after reinstalling and it won't retrieve the bookmarks I had until 15 or 16 June, please help I can't get them back

Install of Thunderbird accepted my donation but does not complete the install. It just returned to the donate screen again. If I try to return to the install exe it wont pass the donation screen. I like Thunderbird but not enough to pay twice. How do I get the install to complete? Appreciate any ideas. Thanks

I recently lived thru the Cox-Yahoo conversion. Yahoo webmail has a folder called SPAM..where all the what I call JUNK goes to but in TB but it never gets into the TB JUNK folder..I can only see it on webmail Yahoo..How do I point the TB JUNK to link with this SPAM Yahoo folder please?

Following suggestions from Jame and Matt (Thanks, guys!), I just installed T-Bird 115X on my Win7 computer, and successfully set up my primary e-mail account. I tried to import settings from my existing Outlook 2010 installation, and was instructed to set Outlook up as the default app for email. I did so, but now I get a "No profile found" notification from T-Bird T-Bird. What should I do?
