My display is too big now and I lose parts of webpages in the "edges"? Search bar when I first sign on shows 120%. How do I get back to 100%? Please no technical jargon. If I can't fix this,will have to quit using Firefox.

FIRST PROBLEM (I have been unable to submit a help request from https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/mozilla-account/form)

Windows 10, fully updated with the latest firefox version. Email program is MS Outlook through my employer. Email notifications are overwhelmingly loud if the global volume is sufficient for viewing content. Playing with the volume mixer doesn't help. I have searched for solutions online, and every suggested fix entails features or options that are not available on my system. Please provide complete instructions for Windows 10. Please respond to lanzcc@potsdam.edu

SECOND PROBLEM

Submit button on page https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/mozilla-account/form never succeeds.

This has been going on for a length of times, the Privacy app or window keeping changing when I used it. This morning, it started back when trying to close it to go to another website. Also, the middle part of the privacy screen keeping changing.

Firefox is not secure because there is something going on every day with the settings. They keep changing on me.

I've been using Rightmove Professional on Firefox for ten years plus but now suddenly it's not working correctly as the viewing windows no longer slide. Rightmove say it's due to an update by Firefox and advise to switch to Chrome but I really don't want to - will this issue be fixed? Thanks

I get the following two error messages when I click on Foxfire. Couldn't load XPCOM; and Entry Point not found; followed by this:  ?Nan@Decimal@blink@@SA?AV12@XZ could not be located in the dynamic link library...

I tried to uninstall the program, but got the same two messages and it would not let me. I downloaded a new version and I'm getting the same messages. Everytime I start my computer, I get the same two messages and have to click out of them to keep going. I've installed another browser, but at this point, I just want to uninstall Foxfire so it stops popping up with error messages all the time.

Anybody know how to resolve this? Thanks.

As you can see in the attached image the highlight is coming out grey instead of blue, which is what is showing when I select 'save screenshot'. It used to be this error happened maybe one in 20 times and it was annoying because I am making these screenshots for use in youtube videos and it becomes unreadable, but now it is every single screenshot even after doing it dozens of times and with different pages.

Multiple users are reporting in Microfix's Mozilla Firefox and ESR Updates 2024 in the AskWoody forum that the two options at Settings | Browsing | Recommend extensions as you browse and Recommend features as you browse were both automatically re-enabled when Firefox updated to v127.0.0. I was able to confirm both those settings were previously disabled in my Firefox browser and re-enabled without my permission in v127.0.0.

So far this as been confirmed in desktop builds of Firefox v127.0.0 and Firefox ESR v115.0.2 released on 11-Jun-2024, but not in Portable builds of Firefox. I'm hoping that the automatic re-enabling of these settings is a bug, and not a deliberate change to make Firefox more intrusive.

I should add that the first time I re-launched Firefox after upgrading to v127.0.0 on 11-Jun-2024 I saw a banner message asking me if I'd like to Open Firefox every time you start your computer?. I'm hoping that clicking the "Not Now" button button once will be enough to prevent this nag from reappearing.

Got up this morning and FF said all my tabs were crashed - GAH! Could not open ANY new tabs, not even a blank tab, without getting this message. Clicking on restore tabs did nothing. Closing & opening FF did nothing. Cleared startup cache & uninstalled ublock origin (the only extension I had) but that did nothing. Refresh firefox did nothing (except lose some of my preferences). Went to about:crashes and all it says is "No crash reports have been submitted." Every other suggestion I found online was beyond my comprehension. FF DOES work in troubleshooting mode only, but I lose some important functions in that mode. I've been using FF almost since it was born and have NEVER encountered a problem like this before. I hope someone can help!

SLES 15.5 QU2 in Mozilla Firefox 115.8.0esr was not supporting window.close() and it's showing like "firefox already running , but is not reponding to use firefox you must frist close the exiting firefox process , restart your device , or use a different profile"

Hey there,

during work I often open two windows of Firefox to have more information visible on my two monitors. Unfortunately I sometimes forget that I have a second window open, so I close only my "main" window and loose all tabs.

Is there a way to force Firefox to ask to close a window and loosing multiple tabs for every window open?

Right now this only happens for the last open window.

PS: I just found out about the keyboard shortcut of restoring a window (CTRL+SHIFT+N) recently. I would prefer a setting in my case.

After updating Firefox to version 127.0, I started having problems with the playback of some media files. In particular, audio files with the .wav extension do not show the playback time and the file cannot be played. I can play the same media files in previous versions of Firefox and other browsers (e.g. Chrome) without any problems.

Since I think the problem is caused by a browser update, I would like to ask for your help. If you have any solutions or feedback on this issue, please share it.

Youtube audio is extremely slow, I reckon at 10%, but the video is fine and can be sped up or down. The problem persists even in troubleshooting mode, after cache clearing, hardware acceleration turned off, enabled DRM and widevine, driver updates, in private mode or not, logged in or not, firefox restarts, computer restarts.

But Youtube plays fine in Chrome and Edge.

I dont think I didnt anything drastically different, or updated win10 or firefox, or messed with anything. It was working fine a day ago.

Is there any way to reset something?

I've not been able to download anything on Firefox for about 3-4 weeks now. Every time I try to it immediately fails with no explanation given. The only type of download that works is "Save Image As..." Even trying to download a picture with a download button instead of right clicking nets an immediate fail. I feel like I've done everything to try and troubleshoot it myself, but nothing seems to be working.

I've restarted my computer, ran Firefox in troubleshoot mode, refreshed and reinstalled it, checked for viruses and malware, tried both nightly and ESR versions, tried running them as admin, logged out of my Firefox profile, cleared my cookies and cache, changed and reset the download folder, ran a repair for Visual C++, and reset my windows security settings. I'm honestly surprised nothing has worked.

The only thing that I know I haven't tried yet it refreshing my entire computer, but that's my very far last resort because I'm able to download files just fine on Microsoft Edge. Only the Firefox applications have given me any problems, so if I were to refresh my computer and have the problem still not be solved somehow I'd be deleting everything to get nowhere.

If anyone has any other ideas to try that be very much appreciated.

Whenever I m visiting to my website I m facing an issue like getting a horizontal black line near the scroll bar, it is coming up when I make my browser window responsive to the resolution of 1920 X 1080 and when the zoom level is decreased to 90%, 80% & 67%.

This issue I m not facing in other browsers like chrome, edge.

I Cannot make Firefox my default Browser,(Windows 10) If I go into Apps & it Shows (IN BLACK) that Firefox is my default Browser & then go into Firefox,it shows that Firefox is NOT MY DEFAULT Browser I Have Totally Deleted Firefox & Clean the Registry of Firefox before install a new Version I Also have a Laptop (windows 10) & it works perfectly So On my Desktop,I Went into Users/Local & Delete Firefox & also went into Local Low & also Raming & deleted all firefox & then I went into my Laptop & Copied all Firefox Data from each of Local,Local Low & Roaming & Pasted thenm into each of the Local,Local low & Roaming BUT IT STILL WILL NOT Allow me to Have Firefault as Default I have Microsoft Personal come into my Computer & he COULD NOT make it my Default either I need somebody which is very KNOWABLE to REply PLEASE ASSIST Thank You Darryl

I'm getting this Server Not Found page error with the very irritating "Hmm, We're having trouble finding that site" black screen with a doubleclick.net web address. I'm getting it a lot trying to visit totally legit sites and it's pi$$ing me off. It's not happening in Chrome or Edge but I don't like using those for other reasons. Would like to know what's going on with this crap. It used to be only once in a while and a couple of clicks to other links would get me around it but now it's happening a lot and won't let me get to the intended site at all. Very frustrating!

I saw in the following post that I can modify the zoom values of Firefox to custom values of my choosing (e.g. 75%, 85%):

I followed the instructions but it did not work for me. Yes, I did save the changes I made, and I completely closed & reopened Firefox, but the changes I made have not been applied for some reason. Please see the attached image.

I would have ask the question in the aforementioned thread but it's been archived so I had to open a new one. Does anyone know why Firefox does not seem to recognize my custom values (.75, .85)? Thanks!
