Firefox does not allow website to access my location even though I keep allowing the website to access my location. I select the allow button and also did this both with and without the box checked to remember the decision. I also go into Settings - Privacy & Security - Location settings. I allow there. Nothing helps.

If you close a tab that is next to one or more unloaded tabs, firefox jumps those and opens the next one that is loaded. Is there a way to disable this so upon closing it would open the right tab, whether loaded or not. I tried "Select After Closing" add-on, didn't fix it. Disabled Auto Unloading via about:config, same result.

I am getting "Secure Connection Failed", Ive seen literally hundereds of same error also exist here. Like most of default solution (which is below) did not work for me. My laptops time is correct, And I highly doubt reddit and most of internet has issue with its security certificates. And other browser works just fine. So What is my solution other than immigrating to new browser?

Hi, I've recently downloaded firefox and trying to add extensions that were similar to the ones I used on chrome. My problem is that all the extensions (Hoverzoom, Short Keys) in the extensions tab in the toolbar and appear to not be working (both in private and normal browsing). However the extensions (Ublock, SponsorBlock) that have their own icon on the toolbar seem to be working fine.

More than half of the websites are broken when viewed in Firefox now E.g. theguardian, youtube. It takes way too long to load and most of the time it's only part of the page. The same websites work on Chrome and Edge without any issue.

And then I try to upload screenshots (.JPG) to this form and it doesn't work?

When using amazon the login and page load times are excessively long. More often than not I can open MSN, load amazon, login, and find what I'm looking for before Firefox has completed signing me in or searching for an item. This is not a once in a while problem, it happens every time with amazon, some times worse than other times. Ive deleted and reloaded Firefox, cleared all history and tried as many other things that I could find online to try, none of which helped.

If I open a second tab on the screen it says the connection has crashed and keeps doing it if you try again. If you reset it resets Firefox including the other tab.

This pops up every few hours. Sometimes it pops up invisible but steals focus from the main window. How can this be disabled?

I tried all methods that have been mentioned everywhere on the Internet, including policy.json, Group Policy on Windows, etc. Nothing disables this nagging yet.

When I do right mouse click on page, depending on the mouse cursor position, context menu appears and I need to scroll up or down to access appropriate item. I thought I need to try and fix size and position of a page context menu. Is it possible? On Edge or other search engines I've been able to highlight, copy and past a web address where the pasted result is a clickable link to the website, but this doesn't work for Firefox. I have looked through the settings and other questions online, but found no solution, from what I can see people more often ask about the opposite issue to mine. Is this a limitation of the search engine or am I dumb?

I am trying to open a website but I keep getting error code 522. I've tried using Chrome and it connects to the website with no problem. I've checked my privacy settings and I do not have that website blocked. What else can I check? I don't think it's an issue from the website side. Opening messenger was not a problem in my firefox. But recently i cannot access my messenger anymore in firefox. Everytime I try to open messenger it crashes. But I can use messenger in private window. Can please someone give me a solution for this problem.

Did try Java toggle on-off extension but the options button is not displayed on the extension that would have enabled me to enter URL of site in blacklist text box.

I have recently been getting an error message when I open Firefox saying "The bookmarks and history system will not be functional because one of Firefox's files is in use by another application. Some security software can cause this problem". This has been happening since I clicked on a mail in Mail to unsubscribe from a spam/phishing mail list, which seemed to result in me installing Firefox Private Browsing, which I had never subscribed to. I have tried uninstalling Private Browsing but there is no way of doing that. I have even uninstalled and then re-installed Firefox completely but I still have the same problem. Because of the problem I have now lost all my bookmarks and history, and am unable to create new bookmarks and history. I have been on the help forums and seen that I can Disable Private Browsing by going through my anti-virus (Avast), which I have not yet tried because what I would really like to achieve is uninstalling and not having Private Browsing on my Start menu, rather than simply disabling it. Anyway, would disabling it solve the bookmarks and history problem ? Can anyone give me the solution ? Thanks. As you may gather, I am not very techno so you would have to give me the idiot's version of any instructions or advice.

I would like to further secure my passwords but don't want to have to enter the primary password every time I start the browser. I would like it to only prompt me if a password is needed. I can go days without needing a password to be entered and open and close Firefox every time I use it. It gets tedious. Thanks!

I'm trying to import a password csv file generated by Roboform into firefox password editor. I've exported the csv file from Roboform but when I try to import to the Firefox password page I get: "Incorrect or missing column headers. Make sure the file includes columns for username, password and URL". The csv file does have column headings. Is there a way to do this?
