When I tried to move the Firefox icon to the folder after downloading the update, it says I do not have suffient privileges to do this. What does that mean?

I can't seem to complete downloading the new version of Firefox. I got to the point where it said to drag the icon to the folder, but then I got the message that I don't have sufficient privileges to do that. What does that mean and how can I complete the download?
