The standard select menu displays at most 20 entries. If the select menu has more than 20 options, then it uses a scroll bar. I would like to change that default to something larger, maybe 40 entries - I have a big screen :). I've looked through the about:config entries and I can't find anything to control it. It seems unlikely that it's hard coded in the source...
