Hello Everyone,

I have Firefox installed on my desktop and laptop but cannot download it onto my Galaxy A12 mobile.

When trying through Play Store it constantly informs me “Something went wrong, try again.”

When trying to download it from the internet, the Installation circle keeps revolving and nothing happens.

Do you have any advice please?

while performing a download, "com.android.phone has stopped" apears, the signal strenght indicator in the upper right restarts(disappears, reappears with the 4G mark, the mark disappears and the indicator works after), after that the phone service and the phone app work normally. the download finishes normally.

using motorola e7 plus, android 10

tried restarting the phone, deleting cash and data of phone app, deleting cash of firefox

tried downloading using google chrome, all work normally.

it is possible that the issue started happening after I updated firefox but It's possible that it was happening before too.

I recently got new samsung tablet s6 . I am logged into successfully to synchronize and see my bookmarks. Problem is I can't save new bookmarks on tablet. I found article about write protected file but those directions are not available on the tablet/android version of Firefox.

Less important 2nd question is...should the collections from my phone and pc show up on tablet? I do not see them. Would so much like to see them

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra running latest Android update and latest Firefox update. I set Firefox as my default browser. I have un-installed all updates for Samsung Internet and removed all permissions for it. Disabling it is greyed out. Some apps that I use have links to websites. Too frequently, when I go to one of those links, the intro screen for Samsung Internet opens. Then, when I look at the settings in Firefox it is no longer set as the default. Then I set Firefox to default and go to my phone settings to see that Firefox is selected as the default. If I open the previously mentioned app and choose the web link, Firefox will open. But somewhere along the way, the default changes back to Samsung Internet and it's a vicious circle. I have posted in a Samsung forum but haven't gotten a reply that solved the problem. Please help. I love the way I can customize my Firefox on my Linux desktop. Not so much on my Android phone.

F.ex. I never use the home button, but open new tabs all the time. Would be nice if I could replace the home button with one that opens a new tab

It appears to me that one can only rearrange or move the position of a bookmark (in Firefox) via a PC and not with an android phone.

Is this correct? If not, could said instructions for doing so via an android phone be forwarded?

For years, I have my homepage on Firefox browser app on Android Galaxy phone set to Google.com. 2 days ago this only shows a white screen. I have verified all settings and even uninstalled/ reinstalled the app. I can use the Google app to get there, just not through Firefox. Is there a fix for this? Thanks.

On youtube mobile site or a reddit video, when I click the bottom right button to fullscreen the video, a message pops up that says 'entering fullscreen mode' (with a firefox logo on the left of the message) and then firefox closes and I'm at my android home page

This seems to happen when I watch videos in a new instance. If I reopen firefox to the video and then try fullscreen again, it goes full screen no problem. So basically it's annoying and happens when I try to watch any video full screen for the first time.

Is this a known bug? Wasn't an issue on my old phone (I just got the galaxy s23).

Firefox is fully updated from playstore. Only addons installed is ublock origin and Privacy Badger

Why does sync break EVERY week on my phone. EVERY week I have to spend half an hour trying and usually failing to get my phone to be able to receive tabs from my desktop computers. Why do you break this critical feature with every update no matter how large.

I restart both firefox on all my devices as well as the devices themselves. I clear cache, cookies and even do fresh installs. Nothing works until a day or so later it magically deigns to function again.

I use ExpressVPN and haven't had any severe issues using this along with Firefox. Somewhat recently, I can't use the browser at all while connected to my VPN. I tried switching locations and even using my cellular data instead of wifi, but I have the same issue. All other apps work with my VPN.

Is it by design Speech Synth is installed in the background on Android 8? I don't have it listed in my logs that I installed, unrequested install. Also Firefox 116.0.3 now calls for Speech Synth to be installed. Is this normal?
