After installing a shortcut to a website that stages as an app through the Firefox Android app (Samsung 6.0, Android 14) when using said shortcut, if entering any text box the keyboard will pop up and rapidly close and open, making it unable to use. This problem happens on any text box, and with any keyboard. I'll attach a youtube link of a screen recording as well as a gif, though it's rather difficult to see the entire problem through a gif. There is a bug when accessing the desktop version of the website under the Android version of Firefox. Visit youtube.com on the Android phone, then click on the desktop version of the website, and then click on the video to go full screen. After going full screen, the bug appears: the control button under the video cannot be clicked. This bug does not appear in the Android version of Chrome browser

Hi! I been using youtube through firefox on my phone for awhile now. Mostly since it allows me to play the video when the screen is off.

I have now swapped phone to a HTC U23 Pro. After the change everytime that i look at a video now it stutters a lot. No matter the network connection.

On my old Samsung A71 it still works fine.

It works fine in the youtube app or through grayjay.

Have removed every add on i have and resinstalled firefox but the issue is the same.

Any tips on what i can do to fix it?

Occasionally I clear the cache memory for the apps on my Poco F5. Of all the apps I use, firefox consumes the highest (8GB+) of cache. So yesterday I cleared the cache memory, didn't use firefox apart from minor browsing for 10 mins or so. Now it's filled back again (6GB+). The app size is just 267MB, but the cache is insanely high.

Hi, I have a problem with my firefox app. Everytime I play or skip a port of a video, it plays stuttering and return normal only If I rewind some second (if I pause it nothing change). Anyone knows why? Is there some way to solve this problem? I have deleted every data, cookies etc, every add-on and reinstalled the app but nothing changed. I also formatted every setting of my device but same result. Oh, also, this problem don't happen with other apps like gallery or chrome. It stutters even if I have just Firefox opened video

When i enter fullscreen mode on my phone the android UI elements sometimes doesn't hide (see image). This occurs on sites like youtube and any other site where i try to play content in fullscreen.

I last updated Firefox on Feb 5, and had Ublock, Privacy Badger, and Search by Image we add-ons. Tonight, just randomly, I noticed that typed text wasn't appearing in the text box (although the suggestions showed up in the keyboard) at all on every webpage and site.

Uninstalling and reinstalling (along with the add-ons) did the trick. I am really curious what the root cause was. Hopefully nothing sinister.

I just started using Firefox for Android, as a workaround to the problems I'm having with playing my YouTube playlists.

But, I'm having several problems in Firefox for Android.

1. Playlists (the actual lists of videos) cover the video that's currently playing. My workaround to this is to play in full screen mode, but that brings up problem

2. Full screen videos automatically switch to landscape orientation, despite system settings, with no apparent way to switch back to portrait orientation without also exiting full screen mode. I've tried rotating my phone with auto rotate on/off; neither setting has any affect on the orientation.

What's extremely frustrating about this is that any workaround is actually a workaround to a workaround to a workaround; it's workaroundception.

What I really really want is to be able to simply play my playlist/listen to it without having to jump through hoops and without having to burn through data like a bonfire burns through sticks.

IMO, the best solution would be to download the entire playlist:

...in one go, and stick it on an mp3 player like it's 2009. So far, the only YouTube to mp3 sites I've found only download individual videos; not whole playlists. (And that's not really a Mozilla issue anyway; the Mozilla issues are the unwanted rotation and the video stack covering up the currently playing video.)

For several months, whenever I need something auto filled, the only thing that pops up is a button that reads "Unlock Firefox" instead of the appropriate saved info. This button does nothing when tapped and when held down, there is tactile click, but then nothing.

After I had changed the system wide font on my android, random fonts appear in all the websites that do not have custom website fonts.

The fonts work properly on chromium based browsers but this seems to be an issue with firefox. I had previously changed a setting in about:config to fix it but now I cannot find it.

Hey guys! so, for background, I'm using Firefox Beta on a Galaxy tab.

I have this thing when I use the browser in Multi Window and try to highlight a text by tap holding it. the pop-up menu (where you have options such as copy/cut and select, etc.) doesn't really show. this only happens to me on Firefox. what's up with that?

also, tapping a word twice doesn't select it even when I'm not using Multi Window... what's up with that?

On Firefox browser (default release or even Firefox nightly) on Android (release 14 or any earlier) when I share link to Gmail app while on YouTube Web site not YouTube app resultant email has a blank email subject

However above does correctly populate subject when using Chrome or it's derivatives like Bravo browser

I am a frequent user of Firefox on multiple platforms, including Android 14, where I frequently use DeX.

However, I am many times forced to use Chrome or Samsung Internet on DeX to get a professional computer desktop experience.

Firefox does not recognize different mouse button clicks and neither does it view websites with high resolution, not even after selecting "Desktop mode", but instead shows a zoomed-in phone view. (I gave tried selecting various zoom levels in settings.) There may be other shortcomings as well.

Perhaps some of the issues can be avoided by changing some settings? However, please address the issue of providing a full desktop experience in DeX. Thanks for a great browser in most other respects on multiple platforms.

When I browse outlook mail on compose, suddenly it appear very lagging, I not got a chance to write a letter or alphabet, very slowly to type and almos5 hang and consume much memory. This always happen. On other website or open inbox on outlooj mail still fine, but when you in compose page, you experience lagging, even you didnt do anything. Can you fix this?

Hello all. I have a strange problem, sorry for the length. So I have a windows pc, and 2 android devices, a cell and a tablet. Sync has not really worked well for over 3 years, and I'm trying yet one more time to fix this. I honestly don't believe it can. Each device is pretty much on its own, so I do not see all of my articles/tabs on all 3. If you were to take a look at each, the tabs are all different. I've tried everything. So let me ask this: is there a way to manually do this? I guess I'll just have to do that. I've signed in and out on both android devices, hit the sync button on all 3, looked for updates on all 3, etc. My cell didn't even show up on my pc for 3 years. I don't want to mess with that one yet {cause it's windows}, I've gone into settings, tried what the articles suggest. Nothing. Weirdly, my bookmarks are fine {thank goodness}. Please help. I use Firefox on at least three different devices, and my Firefox account is linked on all these devises. And I have a huge amount of bookmarks, and almost daily create new bookmarks, as well as store links into existing bookmarks on my Linux Laptop. The problem is that when I then later use my Android smart phone or my Android Samsung Tablet, the bookmarks are not reflected in the same user friendly fashion as it was created or seen on my Linux Laptop. So much so that it is extremely user unfriendly and nearly impossible to store a link into an existing bookmark or to create a new sub-bookmark into an existing bookmark - also because the bookmarks can not be collapsed or navigated as easily as on my main device, which is the Linux Laptop. I need Firefox to reflect my bookmarks in exactly the same fashion and same order as I create them, and I need the bookmarks be be collapsable and navigable. I really want to use Firefox, but this disability forces me to now use Chrome, and I do not want that. Please fix the bookmarks in Firefox.
