The current Background Video Playback add-on does not fully play all video and audio background playback features, it does not fully work. I've been reusing android firefox again lately and I noticed I would have a bunch of tabs at a time. Then I realized that it was because whenever I would click a shortcut from the search screen it would open the page in a new tab instead of staying on the current tab. Is there a way to change this?

Whenever I start Firefox Android and go to a YouTube video. Autoplay is enabled by default. I always have to hit the disable autoplay to turn it off. Autoplay set to block audio and video by default in the site permissions. I tried installing the "YouTube high definition" addon which is supposed to allow you to pause autoplay but that doesn't work either. This occurs on both my phone and tablet.
Any suggestions?
