Help -> About "Failed to check for updates."

This has been going on for over a week. I have downloaded and applied the installation program multiple times (>3). The problem persists. What is going on, and how do I fix it? Thanks

For years, I have used print to pdf in Firefox to generate pdf files of long web pages. It always worked. But lately, I noticed that huge numbers of blank pages are inserted in the pdf file, seemingly at random. I looked at the HTML source, and could not see anything that obviously triggers the blank pages. For example, a web page that ought to print to about 35 pages generates a file of more than 600 pages, with most of them blank.

I can use Microsoft Edge as an alternative, but pdf files from that browser strip out all the color, and are nevertheless super huge, about ten times larger than the ones from Firefox. E.g. the file mentioned above, about 35 pages, would be about 1.3 MB from firefox, and 12 MB from Edge. So getting the file from Firefox would be nice.

Is there a reason why print to pdf is behaving in this strange way, and anything I can do about it?

I'm trying to configure my router and the instructions tell me to go to https://192.168.1.1. But the security settings will not allow me to get to that (local network) IP address, and ther.is no option to bypass the warning

During my absence my house maid created a Google account for herself on my Firefox browser, which is confusing my browsing as it is also a default account. I wish to remove my maid's account but cannot find how. Please help. I am using Windows 10.

Why is Firefox suddenly not remembering any of my logins or passwords? When I go into Preferences > Security, the box to "remember logins and passwords for websites" is checked. When I click on saved passwords they all are there. The do you want to save box is there if I have changed a login, or added a new web site. I am not in private browsing mode. The problem seems to happen every time I install the latest Firefox update, or Windows 10 Pro updates. Some of my apps want to know if I am using a new device.

In the last couple of days I've been unable to login to my virginmedia accounts using firefox, all other browers work fine, I can enter details no trouble but as soon as I press the blue button on their page nothing happens, cleared cookies and data for virgin but didnt help.

When I load www.foxnews.com a popup box comes up and says to view the news to turn off my ad blocker, and then makes the site inoperable. I can't find an ad blocker so I'm thinking I might have a security setting wrong. I can view the website in Chrome with no problem. Any help is appreciated. Gary

hello ppl i hope u guys doing good look in some sites firefox is not playing any sound no audio like on facebook reels or watching a vedio there i cant hear anything and some sites also when i watch vedio i cant hear any sound but in other browser everything work perfect but i like to use firefox its audio prblm and pls know thats the prblm is not from my windows i have windows 10 everything work fine pls help me fix this thx.

Fix the problem ! If I set up a set of bookmarks and web sites to be opened on startup of Firefox, then use them and save that list forever until I change it.

That is how you product worked until this week. Now, it sucks. And why does the header say that my options are controlled by my organization ? This is my private computer, belongs to me, not any organization !

Recently Youtube refuses to play any videos for me, saying adblockers are against their rules. I have uninstalled Adblock, and reset firefox totally. Youtube is still blocking me. It works fine on Chrome. Do I have to switch to Chrome permanently?

when i go to manage bookmarks i can go to views and sort them by last added, how do i make it, so that when i go to the bookmark drop down menu from the top of the screen so also list the bookmarks in order of last added?

I have tried many times to import my passwords from Chrome and from my desktop Firefox, using synchronising, to this laptop, and it has continually failed to happen. My Tabs and Bookmarks, for example, have all been successfully imported.

I want to make Firefox my default browser but cannot do this without successfully importing my passwords.

Please let me know what I should do next.

Are you able to take control of my laptop remotely and resolve the problem? If so, please let me know the times and days when you can do this, so that I can make an appointment, stating which time zone you are in as I am in England.
