It seems like the feature is super bugged and fundamentally flawed. Not only is it halfbaked, but I have very little to no control over how it works. I end up with 40 hidden pages because of my style of browsing. Even using the Simple tab groups gets unnecessarily convoluted. Ive got like 60 hidden tabs in this browser window alone, but they arent displayed logically and you cant tell if they are assigned to another window in STG or what. So, whats the point of it? Why must I, as someone with amply memory and storage, must deal with its illogical behavior?

I'd like to setup a group of tabs say News, then another group say Financial, then another group called Science etc.... How can I open a set of websites then name this set of maybe 6-20 websites into the News; another set of 10-15 into Financial; maybe another set into Emails etc. etc. I'd like to be able to mass open/close the set of Named tabs when desired. Once in a while I may want to close a single or two tabs but I'd still want the Group to be opened/closed together. How can I do this?

When I want more than one page of a website open in different tabs, so I can work back and forth between the pages, I have to log in on each tab. Is there a way to be logged in and open additional tabs that are already logged in? I have tried right-clicking the tab and choosing "Duplicate" but the login status does not appear to carry to the new tab.
Tabs change positions when I open FireFox 68

When I use Firefox search engine, first tab opens, then I open a second tab, it overrides the first tabs page, I cannot search from it nor can I bounce between tabs. I have to close the second tab but then the first tab is blank. I have to close both and open up the browser again. I am not a google fan and want to migrate away as much as possible. It might be my dated windows so instead of spending hundreds of dollars on a new version, can I take firefox back to the version I had before this stupid new version. Which sounds like people are having a lot of problems with.

I have been using this https://github.com/Aris-t2/CustomCSSforFx to move my tabs below my navigation, but all of the code for that movement together when added in results in something very close but not quite right as shown in this picture: https://i.gyazo.com/59d9c70d4130e7b49f522d4397f615a5.png
Is there any way to get rid of that excess space and move the mac controls down a tad?

Firefox forced an update again, while I was at work, in the middle of a very important testing phase for a piece of software. I had some 30+ tabs opened across 4 private windows when the "restart required" happened and prevented me from working. So I restarted, and I did get back the menial, non-private tabs back. But the work? No, the work was lost, along with my test results.
The issue is that Firefox says it will reopen ALL tabs after the restart. The fact that there was a private window open falls under the category of ALL to my knowledge. I'd like to know if there is a redefinition of the word 'all' within the eula/tos, and if this can be somehow fixed to use the dictionary version of the word 'all'?

After an auto upgrade, the Firefox 70.0b5 was all grayed out, nothing worked when I started it. So I did a lot of research and re-started my computer. Now the Firefox works, but my previous sessions/tabs still not restored. I went to all history etc but it did not have all my tabs. I went to about:profiles and the local directory seems to be empty but the root directory has files. In the root directory, I looked into sessionstore, previous.js etc folders but there was just a whole lot of letters. I am not a technical person and don't know much about computers. How do I restore the previous session tabs that were on my screen before the upgrade? It's quite urgent and I appreciate your assistance as soon as practicable. Thank you so much!

On system restart I lost my tabs. Instead old tabs from a previous session appeared in two separate windows. I then closed Mozilla Firefox 69.0 (64bit) and none of my saved (pinned) tabs came back just my launch page. I don't remember changing any setting specifically having to do with pinning, restoring, or saving sessions so I'm confused as to why my pinned tabs seem so to be behaving so oddly. Please help with any suggestions. I need to get this fixed so i can get back to not having to worry about important tabs becoming "lost" - In advance, yes I know I can get them back in the history this question is specifically centered around fixing this issue.
everything got inverted, the "X" button is now on the left and the "go back" "go forward" are on the right. its so confusing please help me
i included a screenshot it should tell you what i mean

I have an android phone running android 9 (Pie) and I had over 100 tabs on it open (mostly news articles and stuff). It is signed into my Firefox account. I realized that's a lot of tabs and the past 2 days I've been actually sorting them and closing some of them. I realized I could do this on my desktop as well. Anyways my phone froze while I had Firefox open, and I realized my tabs on there were all missing... I decided not to panic yet because I could still get to them on my desktop. Turns out when I open the "synced tabs" pane on my desktop which is logged into the same firefox account.. none of the 100+ tabs are there anymore either. How do I actually contact someone that can revert my sync status or whatever to a previous state so I can get my tabs and stuff back that I had open? Firefox crashing on my phone SHOULD NOT EVER somehow close all of those tabs on BOTH the phone and the computer. I guess the crash of firefox somehow wiped them out, and then my desktop synced with that account, realized those tabs were "closed" and cleared the list there as well.

My browser updated to v69.0 this morning, and now I find myself unable to use functionality that I utilize quite often. If I have a tab open I want to save to my Bookmarks, so I drag it over and hover it above the Bookmarks button in my toolbar, the Bookmarks dropdown opens up, and I can navigate my myriad of folders and sub-folders to place the tab in the folder I want to save it in. Now, however, hovering the tab over the Bookmarks button is no longer causing the dropdown to open.
This becomes especially egregious if I want to save multiple tabs to the same folder simultaneously. I can drop them into the Bookmarks as a group, but then I must manually move each one to the correct subfolder and place it where I want them. It quickly becomes a tedious process.
