Since a release of Firefox this year that caused a problem with Add-ons working, I have not been able to get Add-ons to work properly with the most recent versions of Firefox. There ar two problem areas. 1. Can't download Plug-ins. 2. When right clicking on plugin on the tool bar, the dropdown settings window does not stay open.

My solution has been to use version 63.0.3 and run the "Add-on fix for Firefox versions 61-65." This works fine, but I'm not able to load newer versions and get them to work.
I have, multiple times:

1. Uninstalled all Firefox versions x64 and x32 bit, uninstalled "Mozilla Maintenance Service" and deleted all "Mozilla Firefox" named folders. 2. Deleted all [username]Appdata/ Local, Local low, and Roaming "Mozilla" folders as well as the "ProgramData/Mozilla folder. 3. Cleaned out the "Windows/Prefetch folder. 4. Added a new user to see if that account was affected as well. It was!

None of this has worked, and I have wondered if some certificate is hanging around that should be removed?

Thanks, Jim

Problems started since Firefox update broke Firefox Plugins. Even complete removal of Firefox and updating to Firefox 67.0.4 did not fix the problem. (see below).

UPDATE FIXED:

Installing plugin fix @ <https://discourse.mozilla.org/t/fixed-certificate-issue-causing-add-ons-to-be-disabled-or-fail-to-install/39047> fixed the problem even though installing latest version of Firefox did not.

I spent literally 20 hours on this problem and was very close to using Chrome as my default browser (Ugg).

Firefox 67.0.4 (64-bit) Windows 10

When I left-click on the toolbar icon of extensions that use a drop down window, I briefly see the settings in that window and then window becomes an empty frame that stays until I click outside the frame. Extensions that open their own tab are fine.

Disabling all plugins an then enabling one at a time does not help. Behavior is the same with a different user.

This problem started in the past week. Somewhere in that time frame I did install a 32 bit version of Firefox.

I have 'Refreshed Firefox' Reinstalled Java Runtime. I have uninstalled Firefox, x64 & x32, deleted folders under "Program files" and "Program Files (x86)", removed Mozilla directories under AppData: Local, LocalLow, and Roaming, and reinstalled Firefox x64.....Still a problem

I would guess that I haven't cleared every Firefox setting out.

Any suggestions??

Thanks, Jim

Hi

Today Firefox started to ask "master password" on startup. Yes I use master password, but Firefox never asked it on startup. Why this could be happening? It does not matter what startup page I load, it could be blank page or any other. No sync or other Mozilla account is connected. Tried to disable all add-ons, does not help. Firefox version: 63.0.3 (64-bit).

Hello!

So, I was working on a new blog on which I'm using the Rubik font from Google fonts.

Everything was fine for several days, but today, after working for some time on it, the font just got messed up randomly (see attached image).

I added the font on a different, testing site and it shows messed up there as well, so it's not something website related.

Now, the shocking part is that it gets messed up only on Mozilla and only on the Mozilla browser that's on my Desktop PC.

I asked a friend to check it out and I also checked it out on my laptop, and the font is fine on other Mozilla browsers, as well as other browsers.

Other fonts from other websites are fine as well.

What troubleshooting I performed:

- Checked the font with Inspect Element, as it's shown here: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Tools/Page_Inspector/How_to/Edit_fonts and the font is set up correctly;

- Deleted the whole history since the beginning of time (cookies, cache, everything);

- Closed and opened Firefox again;

- Opened Mozilla in Safe Mode (hardware acceleration is disabled by default in safe mode);

- Restarted my PC;

- Uninstalled Mozilla as it shows here - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/uninstall-firefox-from-your-computer. Deleted the profile folder and everything.

- Installed a fresh copy again with no add-ons, no nothing.

Nothing worked. That font is still messed up on Mozilla, on this PC.

It doesn't make any sense, especially since it went nuts randomly without a particular reason.

Does anyone have an idea of what could be the problem and how to fix it?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Beginning with Firefox 58, I haven't been able to use it for more than 5 minutes as it constantly crashes. There is no crash report to speak of, only the 'Restore tabs' option.

I tried all the guides I could find: - restarted with all addons disabled - fully wiped any installations and downloaded a new version - I am running Mac OS Mojave 10.14.1 (18B75) (lastest version) - about:crashes does not list any reports

I am forced to use other browsers because of these crashes, which is unfortunate. I also use Firefox on Windows 10 and I've never seen it crash. I also recall it crashing on High Sierra as well, so the Mojave upgrade wasn't the source.

Can anyone help me out with debugging this issue as I simply cannot solve it by myself and I've exhausted all the official guides as well as other topics.

Thank you.

Running Firefox 64bit version. So far, any Firefox after v63.0.3 won't allow Citi-Bank citi card virtual account numbers to function. Virt. acct #s uses Flash. I have flash enabled, but the virtual account number screen starts to build then just stops with no error message. I can then uninstall the newer version of Firefox and reinstall v63.0.3 and everything works just fine. Have not tried using the 32bit version of Firefox, but am considering switching to see if it works. For safety reasons, I prefer to use virtual (one-time) credit card numbers.

I just upgraded to Firefox 63.0.3. Now when I open pop-up windows, they appear, but the content is confined to the top left 1/4 of the new window, and cannot be resized to fill the window. If I try to resize the content, it only enlarges within the 1/4 of the window.

I tried:

1. Open in safemode, with all extensions disabled. No change 2. Delete xulstore.json - worked ONLY ONCE. After that, no change. 3. Changed about:profile dom.disable_window_open_feature.resizable -> " from "false" to true" - no change. 4. Downloaded and installed firefox again - no change.

I am not sure what else to do.

Hey everyone,

My tabs keep consistently crashing on specific websites, it's hard for me to describe since I'm not an expert, but it's pages where there's some sort of heavier processing going on - like running Google Docs or sometimes just doing like a Captcha or uploading documents. Gmail also crashes VERY frequently. I've been putting up with it for a while since tabs usually reload quickly, but I'd love to get this figured out since I'm increasingly relying on Google Drive for work.

Important to note that I'm using Ubuntu 18.04 which is otherwise completely stable. Firefox is also the most stable web browser available for me. I have tried several solutions that have worked for other people:

-I tried setting browser.tabs.remote.autostart to FALSE and that actually led to the entire firefox program crashing instead of tabs! Weird. And worse, so I set it back to TRUE.

-I updated my graphics drivers, I have an Intel® HD Graphics 520 (Skylake GT2) graphics card, I updated using this link https://launchpad.net/~paulo-miguel-dias/+archive/ubuntu/pkppa/, which seemed to help only momentarily.

-I have disabled hardware acceleration. This actually made no difference at all.

-I have disabled WebGL but it didn't make much of a difference. webgl.disabled is currently set to FALSE since it didn't help.

My computer has had some larger mysterious problems that forced me to switch to Ubuntu from Windows, I suspect it has something to do with my GPU but I don't really know.

Anyway if someone has suggestions on how I can be more specific with describing the problem, please let me know. Thank you for your time!

On my computer running Firefox 63 on Linux Mint 17.3, with Intel 945G graphics, there are graphical issues that crop up after leaving the browser running for a while. It sometimes leads to crashing of tabs. When the tabs are restored, the problem persists. It seems to be a problem that develops in the main process, as the child processes crashing, or being killed, doesn't fix the problem. Only stopping and restarting the browser fixes it, but only temporarily! Over months of crash reports, I thought it might be fixed for me, though my patience has worn thin. I'd like this problem to go away.

The problem appears primarily as an issue with scrolling. I'll scroll down a screen or two, and instead of the content further down the page appearing as expected, stuff from further up wraps around and shows again. Sometimes jumping down a whole screen with the pagedown key works, but that may fail also, occasionally even mixing strips of the content further down the page, with some from further up the page.

I have had other graphical problems in the past, many months ago, and I can't say I recall the exact settings I changed then, to prevent the sort of vertical pixelation issue I had before. Text was nearly unreadable.

Things have been a bit complicated.
