I have recently been denied access to CWTV programs because they say Firefox has an ad blocker. I have not checked the box to block pop up windows, and although I seem to get most ads, sometimes pages full of them, at times, mostly on emails, there are empty spaces where an ad is supposed to be and I don't know how to disable any ad blocker because the only reference the Firefox settings has regarding ad blocking is the block pop up windows option, which I have not chosen. CWTV thinks the shield in front of the address box means I have an ad blocker, and they told me how to disable that, but I know that is the Firefox traffic blocker icon. not an ad blocker. So what do I need to do so I don't have any ads blocked?

When I click on an article or any link in Outlook, I get an error message that says, Your organization's policies are preventing us from completing this action for you. For more info, please contact your help desk. I'm not an 'organization', just a user and obviously there's no help desk to contact, so I thought I'd reach out to see if someone might have a solution to this problem. I have already made sure that my default programs are set to Firefox for my browser and Outlook for my email and made sure all the defaults are selected. I have also run a full windows scan program which came up without any errors and I have run a registry scan that fixed every identified error. I'm still getting the same error message and the only way for me to open up an article or a link from an email is to 'copy hyperlink', open up a new tab in Firefox and select Paste and Go, which is driving me nuts and wasting a ton of time. I don't know what else to do at this point. I did find a document on the internet that has what it says is a method to resolve this exact error message problem, but the instructions are specific to Internet Explorer, not Firefox. I'm hesitant to find those same tools on Firefox (which is quite possible, though some of them are in different places on Firefox than they are on Internet Explorer). My concern comes with the fact that the final step will 'reset' every setting to it's default condition, so it seemed like a good idea to try to get some expert help before I perform such a drastic action. Also, I'm also making the assumption that if I did do a complete reset, I would be able to restore Firefox back via my most recent System Restore and it would bring back all my customizations, browers add-ons, personal settings, home pages history, cookies, privacy settings, etc. - but I'd like someone to weigh in on this. I use HTML files to create images for a tile based game we play. 6 months ago I was able to create a table with collapsed borders and 0px padding, margins, and borders, then draw my image with 207 x 207 JPEG TDs in multiple TR rows, then place another GIF image over all the JPEGs with transparent edges. Doing this for a table that was 6 tiles (207px) wide and 4 tiles deep, at ctrl 0, displayed a Firefox combined image that was exactly 1242px x 828px that was completely visible on 24 inch 1920 x 1080 DELL monitor. This allowed me to right click an empty space on my Firefox screen and select Take Screenshot to click on the GIF overlay image and capture that image with all of the tiles that were behind its transparent edges.

For some reason, I have no idea why, my 207px by 207px tile images are now being displayed as 282px by 282px at ctrl 0, and the overall image is now too large to fit on the screen, so taking a screenshot of the proper sized image is no longer possible. For example, at ctrl- ctrl-, the tile images are 221 pixels square, which should be 1326 pixels wide for 6 tiles, but my 1242px wide GIF file displays at 1330 pixels wide, probably due to some kind of rounding error.

I was able to use about:config and change layout.css.devPixelsPerPx from -1.0 to 0.74 and it did solve the problem. But it does so with a lot of warning for changing that default value!

So my question is simple: how does Firefox, on Windows 10, determine its screen pixel to Image px relationship? I need to know what to look at for the proper way to get my px to pixel ratio back to 1 to 1.

I've changed the background color on the private tabs/windows with this CSS:

I would like to make the "background-color" to be the same as the window background without hardcoding it, so it always match the theme, ie:

 background-color: <window.background> !important;

I would like to do the same with the background color of the search box in the private mode window, but I can't find the id.

Is there currently a keyboard shortcut to switch the focus to the Bookmarks Toolbar?

If not, are there any plans to add one?

If not, I would like to request that functionality.

I'm using Firefox 104.0.2 (64 bit) under Windows 11.

Under Settings I have selected Startup Open Previous Windows and Tabs.

I normally have more than a dozen tabs.

For the past few days, when I start Firefox my previous session is not restored and I just get the single Firefox tab.

When I got to History there is no longer a Restore Previous Session option.

How do I get it back?

The issues I am facing with outlook mail seems to have occurred within the last 3 months. I have used outlook in Chrome and there is no issue. I have gone to the Microsoft site and there are several complaints that Outlook is not usable with Firefox. On my company machine, I limit my personal email to Firefox.

Other web pages seem to be fine, just outlook mail. I use Firefox for most of my testing & personal and Chrome for corporate browsing.

The issues start occurring after about 5 min, within the last month. I am a MacOS user and I have v.104. The issues face range from not limited emails listed, missing icons, javaScript drop-downs not working, not being able to delete emails, not being able to restore emails.

When I refresh the page, more recently Outlook crashes. My cache for Outlook is around 13-14Mb. When I clear the cache, things are fine for about 5-10 min. Windows 10 system, current Firefox browser version. I exported the passwords from the latest version of Firefox into a CSV file and put it on an external hard drive. I plugged that hard drive into a different system, installed Firefox on that system, enabled importing from a file in Firefox, and selected the file to import. The file browser went away, and nothing changed. No passwords were imported. Tried restarting Firefox and tried again to no avail.

The file seems to be readable, so it's not a disk error.

How can I import these passwords?

Although I have selected "Open Previous Windows and Tabs" in Start-Up, my windows and tabs were not restored when I inadvertently quit Firefox. I then went to the three horizontal bar Application menu to look for "restore previous session", but it is no longer there. Is it possible to restore the possible to restore the "restore previous session" option in that menu? How can I restore previous session when I have inadvertently closed Firefox? I'll be grateful for advice. Thank you

See abstract. Updated to Firefox V105.0 today, and now the cursor starts in the address bar, instead of the search box middle of the page. I have tried that "about:config handoff" fix and it doesn't work for me. I think this is about the third or fourth time we have lost the "cursor starts off in the search box" functionality in the last few years, after a Firefox update. Can you code writers leave it in the search box? Please?

I am using Windows 10. The Firefox on my laptop is just updated to 104.0 and I realised that I can no longer drag the slider of the scrollbar on a webpage with the touch screen of my laptop. I can still drag the sliders of the History sidebar and bookmark library though. Is this change intended? Or is my Firefox profile just messed up after the update?

Today, I noticed that fonts on sites look different than normal. At first I noticed that font looked smaller, but zoom is set to actual size. Then I noticed that while on a site with a black background the text was displaying as black also, making it impossible to read. I looked through the preferences and everything pertaining to fonts and colors appears to still be set to default. Next thing I tried was opening the same site in private window. While in the private window, the font and color appears as it should.

Any ideas how to fix this?

I recently updated to Firefox 104. When starting up the browser it prompted me to do a refresh which I naively said yes to. After Firefox was done refreshing and finally came up again I noticed all my saved logins (usernames/passwords) from version 103 were gone. I spent the last several recovering my passwords which was very frustrating. And when Firefox prompted me to save the uname/passwds for each I pressed the save button thinking they were saved. I should have checked because they were not saved when I went to the about:logins page to see. It was empty. So I clicked on the "Create New Login" button to enter one manually. After entering in the web URL, my username and password and clicking "Save" a red banner appears above saying "An error occurred while trying to save this password."

How can I fix this so Firefox will once again save passwords?

I have tried searching all self help topics. I have tried all available settings options. I have upgraded to the latest version 104.0.2. However, nothing seems to fix my problem which is that Firefox will not restore my previously open tabs when I reopen it. This problem started a few weeks ago. I have selected [Open previous windows and tabs] I have selected [Firefox will remember History]

Brand new installation of Ubuntu Focal (on an ARM Chromebook, using Crouton). Installed Firefox (104), runs fine but as soon as I sign into my Firefox account it immediately crashes. Continues to crash if I start in safe-mode, so I don't think the problem is an extension. After some online research and some trial and error I seem to have determined that I can sign into my Firefox account as long as password sync is disabled. But as soon as I enable password sync, Firefox immediately crashes.

Error message in terminal is always about GPU, which maybe isn't properly set up or maybe Firefox has a problem with it, but if I use the software renderer it doesn't cause a problem (MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND=0 firefox). Hard to imagine that this has anything to do with crashing when syncing passwords?

How to delete saved passwords and how to talk to a technical live person? TOO HARD TO GET HELP MAYBE I SHOULD GO TO ANOTHER BROWSER? I just spent an hour working with GoDaddy GREAT HELP went back to log in and I keep getting my OLD password, FOR GODS SAKE PLEASE GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER AND GIVE SOME HELP WE'RE NO ALL TECHIES!

Same problem again with upgrade. After the last upgrade today 9-5-2022 I no longer have video play back on sites such as MSNBC, CNN or Twitter. U-Tube seems to be working fine. I have checked and have version 5.0.1 of ffmpg installed if that helps. And I have turned off ad blockers. Firefox 104.0.1 in Fedora 36 workstation. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hi I put "about:support" in the URL field. The pressed "Open folder" button on the profile folder section on the troubleshooting page, then I got an error: "Location is not available." I looked for the folder, but I could not. "about:support" describes the location "C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\forv3n79.default-release but the Roamig folder does not contain "Mozzilla" folder and the subdirectories.

I want to take the backup as the purpose.

I suppose this is a bug. So, could you fix it?
