cannot download firefox browser because I have an expired chrome browser that I'm supposed to delete first -

However - have tried a dozen or so ways to do just that - or so it appears and still cannot download the

firefox browser and after much frustrated key pounding find evidence chrome is not really deleted - help losing

my mind - I'm 77 years old and not computer literate but not senile either - i hope

Hello, I need help. I downloaded and installed Firefox (latest version), the icon appears in the taskbar, but when I click on it, FireFox does not launch and I always get the same error message. I uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted the PC, but I still have the same problem, even starting from firefox.exe in Windows (C:) >Programs>Mozilla Firefox. Could it be possible that Microsoft is blocking the launch of Mozilla Firefox? Thank you in advance for your help. Attached is a screenshot of the error message. I change nothing in my settings and I am now on Dark background everywhere despite having: - forced the system settings (OS) to stay in light background - in about:preferences appearance I've manually selected (forced) the light background - in about:config I've tried to switch the browser.theme.content-theme to "1" (instead of "0")

this is really frustrating, I would like to get a better "reading" of what happens, as an Engineer I am happy to also squint at logs if needed, please consider adding a preference / settings change log file

I tried moving the firefox profile from my old windows 10 laptop to my new windows 11 laptop but the migration wasn't successful.

I tried the below steps:

Clicked the firefox three bars at the top right corner of the browser->then the help button->then more troubleshooting information->then clicked the open folder button next to the profile folder->then copied the profile to an external USB ->then took this firefox profile and copied it to the existing firefox profile in the new windows 11 laptop via the same location.

However, the data: cookies, bookmarks & history from the prior firefox profile (windows 10) are missing once restarting up the firefox browser in the (windows 11)

Any ideas if there may be something I'm missing.

So, I tried to download a video from my YouTube Premium Account. According to the youtube webpage, that video was downloaded to my iMac. My FF 124.0.1 settings are set up to download to the Desktop. I am running Mac OS Sonoma 14.4.1

Yet the file is not there. I tried searching on the Support page for FF. Lots of articles but no real help. Tons of info about how to tweak the download but Nothing about Where that download ended up. I did give Permission in Settings for youtube.com to download to my iMac, but again, I can't find the file. In the Storage section, it shows 37.5 MB, so it should be on my iMac, right?

How is it possible for youtube.com to show that I downloaded the file but I can't find it?

I am totally at a loss. Never had anything like this happen before. Prior downloads have Always shown up on the Desktop.

Any thoughts? Thanks for your time.

Files will not download. The file is a rfa(revit) file. This is my second day using this web browser..

I have checked setting, to which I switched around to try and troubleshoot. This did not work. I ended up downloading another browser and the file downloaded no issue. Why is this happening? Ant help is greatly appreciated!

After wipe of drive and reinstallation of Ventura by the Apple Store, and migration from Time Machine, Firefox won't launch. It's there, but it won't open. Click the icon and the icon moves as if it were going to launch, but the app doesn't open. If I were to reinstall Firefox, would it sync with my settings and Bookmarks?

Is there a way for me to retrieve my bookmarks? They have followed me through several macbooks, and reinstallations and this is the first time they've gone missing.

I will be receiving a new HP Laptop to replace a 2013 Dell Inspiron desktop and would like to to transfer my Firefox browser, settings and bookmarks when it arrives in a couple of weeks. Can you help with the easiest way for me, who has some knowledge but not the greatest at Tech. ? Thank you !

Since the latest Firefox update a few days ago, I am not able to log into my Outlook/Webmail account; nothing happens.

I can access it on google chrome but not on Firefox.

Recently I have found that I cannot download statements from my bank account, also at the same time (2/3 months ago) I cannot access a Tesco website from Firefox. I can carry out these functions easily from Microsoft Edge, so why the sudden change ? Can anyone please help me to fix this in Firefox?

Thank you for trying to help me download Firefox onto my computer. As per your advice, I first tried shutting down and restarting my computer. That did not work. Then I went onto the link you sent me: https://www. mozilla,org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release . The installation began, but only got up to around 80 - 90%. It stopped at the point where it said Execute: "C:|Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\default-browser-agent.exe" register-task 308046B... (It looks like there might be some more letters and/or numbers after the "B", but I can't see what they are.) I waited a few more hours to see if the installation would continue, but it did not. I then went back to try downloading Firefox in the regular way. First I got a message, "Now installing. Firefox will be ready in just a few moments." Again, installation proceeded to around 80 - 90 %, and then I got a message, "Hmmm. For some reason, we could not install Firefox. Choose OK to start over." Starting over didn't help. Since support is being discontinued for W7 Firefox, would someone please recommend the best version of Firefox for Windows 7? Security is not a concern, since I have reliable 3rd-Party security setup(s) for my Windows 7 systems.

Tried installing Firefox Nightly 123 on an iMac running Monterey 12.7.3. Will not install. Just get the spinning busy cursor and have to force quit. Installs fine in Sonoma.

The link discussing this on your website shows a different installation program than what I see when trying to install Firefox. (Image from your website below.) In my case, I am not presented with this screen nor the option to choose my own destination (D:\Program Files\).
