Dear Supportteam,

Today I browsed true the add-on list of Mozilla Firefox I was searching for Safepal wallet extension to use my cryptocurrency wallet also in the webbrowser. So my searching ended on the following page: https://addons.mozilla.org/nl/firefox/addon/safepal-wallet/ After I installed this extension and logged in with my credentials it was not working. 8 hours later I checked if my funds were still save on my phone software wallet also from Safepal I saw nothing $0,- balance I was deep in shock I saw my last transactions and saw that my funs ($4000,-) were transferred to another wallet. I could not believe it an add-on that is deployed in the add-on list of Mozilla Firefox. Is there no any audit department that is checking every add-on and test it before it get listed on the official add-on store of Mozilla Firefox. Can you please have a look into this add-on before there will be a massive amount of people getting scammed. And also have a look into the developer identity I have found the IP-address of the developer by tracing the mail address. Please have a look into it and maybe their is a solution to help me out.

In Firefox settings, Firefox new tab, and in these mozilla forums, my add-ons are disabled. Specifically Vimium, and I get this message when hovering over the Vimium icon: "Vimium is not running on this page.

Your browser does not run web extensions like Vimium on certain pages, usually for security reasons.

Unless your browser's developers change their policy, then unfortunately it is not possible to make Vimium (or any other web extension, for that matter) work on this page."

How can I enable this, and possibly all normally active add-ons in these pages?

I only use 2 addons in firefox, they are Bitdefender Wallet and Adblock and since the last Firefox update I cannot get either working. I can install adblock, it will work until the browser is closed, next time I open the browser it will be disabled with no option to re enable it and no explanation as to why it was disabled. I have tried a few addons as a test and after the browser is closed all will be automatically disabled. With Bitdefender wallet trying to install the extension results in an error of the download is corrupt.

I have used Firefox for years with both of these options and no errors. To try and fix I have reinstalled both Firefox and Bitdefender but the issue remains the same.

Current Firefox build is at 84.0.2

Any advise would be brilliant as I really do not want to resort to Chrome (which is working perfectly).

Hi!

I've had a strange issue with Firefox on my work PC for a a few years now. That I'd like to solve once and for all. I have a workaround that has gotten me back to work reasonably fast, but I recently added another addon that makes this process take a lot longer than it did before... Since I have to recreate the data that I previously added to this addon manually. The work around is to "Refresh Firefox" from the "about:support" page.

At work everyone has their own (windows 10) computer, each computer is domain joined and sync all user folders. (including AppData) Usually we only use our own computer, but from time to time we have to log in to another computer. (Like a laptop to do some work away from the desktop) However when I do that and accidentally open Firefox on both my main computer and the second computer at the same time, all my addons stop to work "partly" on my main computer... (I don't use addons on the laptop/other computers so I don't know if they stop to work on those ones too or not)

When I say partly, I mean that they load and show up on the toolbar, I can open the "Drop down meny" on some of the addons, but not all. Some load the menu correctly and some only show a white box. But when they show up they seem to have lost "my settings" or the data that they should show. And I can't save any new data.

I can't change settings for the addons in the addon page. Only deactivate/activate them but that doesn't get them back either. But the same thing goes here, some show the settings page correctly, some don't. But all of them have forgotten "my settings" and I can't save any new settings/data. (Note that this isn't necessarily happening for the same addons that couldn't show the drop down menu. Eg. addon 1 might show the drop down but not the settings page. While addon 2 might show the settings page but not the drop down and the 3:rd might show both. etc.)

And the functionality that they bring might work partly or not at all.

This is happening for all of my addons and not just one of them.

I've tried to enable logging globally for all addons following the instructions on this forum: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/12893981/logging-to-console-from-firefox-extension I've attached the loggs as "troubleshooting information"

Now I'm getting a lot of errors looking like this: IndexedDB UnknownErr: ActorsParent.cpp:562

I'll ad a link to the Firefox source that this error references. I don't think this is the version that I'm using since the row that generates the error is just a comment. But if it looks anything like this file it seems to be something with a hash that gets created for this file? That possibly gets corrupted when it gets updated by two clients concurrently? I'm not sure as i didn't dig so deep in the source...

I googled a lite about IndexedDB and from what I understood it is some database that Addons create and use to store their data? If that is the case, can it bee that this file somehow gets corrupted when it gets written to by two clients at the same time? Or might it be that one of the clients overwrites the changes that gets written by the first client?

Is this a bug? Or is it something that I need to reconfigure somewhere?

Firefox version: 81.0.1 - 64 bit (The latest one that i can get at the moment) Addon List:

  • Dashlane (Password manager)
  • Facebook Container (From Firefox)
  • Tab-Counter (Shows a count of the amount of tabs and windows open at the moment) (Currently have 50 windows open and a total of 1874 tabs open...)
  • uBlock Origin (Ad blocker)
  • Web Scrobbler (For Last.fm)
  • Window Titler (For naming all the windows so its easier to find the window or tab that I need. This is the addon that I have to manually add the data to again after refreshing Firefox... See my problem? ;) )

If you want me to test anything or supply you with some other logs just tell me!

Hi, my firefox started to crash regularly for a few months. I have seen it crash while on idle, while changing tabs, while opening ne tabs... i.e. no repetable pattern. Morever, I couldn't figure out the reason since all the crash reports turned different reasons for each crush. It has now become hourly crashes which really started to affect my workflow. Could you please help?

I noticed that recently, several of my machines (all logged into the same FF account) are experiencing pretty extreme performance penalties, and when on battery, the battery drains very quickly. Within the Windows Task Manager, I see that FF is often taking up 50%+ CPU even though I'm using fewer tabs than usual. Within `about:performance`, I see that Multi-Account Containers is the resource hog.

On another machine where I am not logged in, FF performance is pretty good. On the affected machines, Edge runs very fast with low CPU/memory use, so there's definitely an issue with FF on these machines.

About:config shows that extensions.experiments.enabled=false, and the Containers plugin hasn't been updated in 2.5 months.

I would prefer to not uninstall containers since they're so useful. I could clobber and reinstall them for testing, but is there a known issue or a quick fix for this?

Hey y'all,

So last week I opened up Firefox and half the websites wouldn't load. I would click on my bookmarks or type in the URL and nothing would come up. It refused to even attempt to get on the page, nothing would come up. The page would be blank. My extensions weren't working, either, and some websites had logged me out. So the solution I found via Support was to do a Refresh.

I did that and everything worked great again. My bookmarks and tabs were saved, I just had to fiddle with my extensions and theme.

Now, only a week later, Firefox is having the same problem. Websites not loading, extensions not working. I'm using the latest version on Windows 10, so that can't be the issue. Do I just Refresh and hope it doesn't happen a third time? Doing a weekly Refresh would be such a nightmare.

I love Firefox, especially because of the extensions, but that's the only thing I can think of that's causing this issue. I don't have that many and I don't want to get rid of them - they make using the internet bearable.

When I am switching back and forth between tabs, occasionally the background image from one tab will overlay part of another tab. This is beyond annoying...

The images attached are as follows. 1. the lower right portion of a page as it should appear. 2. the lower right portion of another page, showing the blue background image (it is just a fade in this case) 3. the lower right portion of the 1st page with the image from the 2nd tab covering the lower right-hand section.

The first page is the left-most-tab of all my open tabs. It isn't the 1st tab I opened, but it is where I do a lot of work, and I keep that as the left-most tab

The image can come from any other tab.

77.0.1 Firefox Release June 3, 2020 (64-bit) Windows 10 version 1909 with updates as of June 9, 2020

Various extensions including Privacy Badger, Cookie AutoDelete, uBlock Origin. None of which were impacting images a month ago...

Hi there,

since the beginning of June (probably the update with the PiP notification) I noticed that a lot of specific Youtube-videos are endlessly loading (the spinning circle animation) and not showing any controls (play/pause, next video, etc.). It's not like I could try multiple times and sometimes videos load and sometimes they don't, it seems to be specific videos, but I can't figure out what differs them from others. Generally I could say that about 60% of the videos aren't loading. I tried them in another Browser and also inside of other Software (Discord, Mattermost) where everything seems to work just fine, it's just my Firefox having issues and I really don't want to switch to another browser.

I really hope somebody can help me, I tried finding a solution, but all the other issues seem to differ from mine or are Mobile-issues.

Ublock origins says there is nothing to block when there clearly is plenty to block on the page, etc. I use the exact same extensions in Chrome and Chrome still doesn't break when using extensions. When was the last major FF update?

After needing to do heavy maintenance due to a malware/malvertising issue that cropped up, I needed to restart and refresh Firefox a couple of times. While all the tabs are still present, they are now "discarded". I am fully unable to restore them, currently. Googling has not given me any real insight as to what is going on.

I did have Tab Suspender extension/app in use, so perhaps I should have disabled that and refreshed all the tabs. Impossible to say now, and hindsight is not exactly helping me restore any of this.

I have a lot of tabs, and I have managed to copy the titles of each tab, so I should theoretically be able to find each one again. However, if there is an easier method to restore all my tabs, I'd prefer that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I checked my addons and installed programs and can't find anything unexpected.

I have scanned with Malwarebytes and Windows Security and they can't find anything.

I haven't captured a screenshot, will do so next time it happens.

Firefox 75 can't access accounts at Discover.com

I have Windows 10 at current maintenance and Firefox 75 -at current maintenance. I have no problem with any other website, and the Discover website was fine until Mon Apr. 13. Now it says my accounts cannot be accessed.

Discover support says it is a problem with Firefox Java settings, but I cannot find anything about Java in the options. They had me restart the PC and clear cache and cookies in Firefox, but neither solved the problem.

I can access these accounts successfully with Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge, so it looks like something in Firefox IS the problem. From previous support entries it looks like you have had similar issues in the past, so looks like that problem is back.

How soon can I expect this to be fixed? Firefox is my default browser, and I hate to have to use a different browser for just one website.
