I have Firefox as my browser on my laptop. Today I have been getting numerous pop-up messages from McAfee (which I do not have- I use a different web defense app) saying I need to renew my subscription or virus detected. Nothing I do gets rid of these pop-ups, which keep coming back (see example below) . How can I stop this from occurring? HELP!!

I deleted some emails on the weekend by mistake so I went into trash to retrieve them but couldn't find them. I checked again this morning and they are still not there. Please help Thank you, Basma Brown

I opened my bookmarks today to find out that all my bookmarks are showing the same web address (Chevrolet.com). And when I went to Recovery, I only found the backup that Firefox did today with the single web address for all my bookmarks. Firefox was updated to version 120 on 11/21/2023.

With increasing frequency, when I open Yahoo in Firefox, there are no photos on the site and I can't access my email. In order to fix this, I have to shut off my computer and do a clean reboot. Then it works for a while, but then, all of a sudden I have the problem again. When I use a different browser (Chrome, Edge), I never have this problem. I thought it was Ghostery that was interfering, because Ghostery does screen out a lot of stuff, so I turned Ghostery off. It made no difference. What solution do you have to offer for this problem? I really don't want to switch to Chrome or Edge, because Firefox's general user interface is so far superior, but the issue I have described is a serious one. (There are two or three other websites that also don't work with Firefox when it comes to user doing data input on the site, but I'll be sending a separate inquiry on that).

I am trying to log in to the Tesco retail site, and get this message: Access Denied You don't have permission to access "http://www.tesco.com/account/login/en-GB?" on this server. Reference #18.26cc19b8.1700734342.438f9dd8 This is a new problem - it was working fine a week ago, and I have made no intentional changes to the Firefox settings. I went to the Settings: Enhanced Tracking Protection, changed it to Standard, and added the Tesco site as an exception (this was following the advice on some other "Access Denied" posts) but it made no difference - I still can't log in. Everything works fine on Chrome, but I would prefer to keep using Firefox if possible. Any suggestions? Thanks

Somehow, for some pdf files, the font looks very weird as in the following image. When I open the same website with other browsers like Brave it looks normal. It also becomes normal when I download it and open it with pdf reader. So this is basically a font issue. Any solution?

My computer crashed while updating from Windows 10 to Windows 11. Unfortunately, I had someone look at it and he formatted my hard drive and only did a partial backup of files. I thought my Mozilla Firefox account was syncing, but it seems like it did not happen in a while. Does anyone know if there's any hope in recovering the lost tabs and bookmarks? Firefox has been my default browser for longer than I can remember. Over the years, I have maintained a significant bookmark file for work. I recently purchased a new computer, and my zero bookmarks from the new computer have replaced all of the bookmarks that I had in my old browser. This is a bookmark file that has successfully followed me through multiple computers and even my ios devices. And now it seems to be completely gone. I've looked at the places.sqlite files, and the largest one is 20MB and is in my current default profile, but it is dated today. That makes no sense because I do not have any bookmarks on this older computer, and my new computer doesn't have any either. The bookmarks have also been completely deleted from my iPad, but miraculously are still on my iPhone (evidently I had signed out of Firefox for iPhone at some point so they do exist somewhere.) The thought of trying to rebuild my bookmarks is nauseating. My only thought is to sign out of the browser on all devices, then sign back in and sync on the phone. Would that repopulate the main file with what's on my phone? Any other ideas?

I have attempted to follow published instructions on how to manage extensions but the steps described are completely wrong. When I click the extensions icon, it opens the add-ons tab (does not present a list of extensions). There is no "gear" next to any of my extensions; just the on/off button and the .... button.

How can I force an extension to show on the toolbar?

Firefox is up to date (version 120.0).

I'm having an issue with Fidelity Investments website logging me off after 5-10 minutes of inactivity. Before Fidelity's website redesign, I could go at least 30 minutes or more without having to login again. It seems now I have to login constantly.

I have contacted Fidelity, but the said it was a Firefox issue, however, I cannot find any information about this issue (or I don't know where to look).

How do I extend the time before needing to login again? Thoughts on if is this even a Firefox issue or is it Fidelity's website?

Hi - I just reset my PC and trying to restore Firefox. I saved the default release folder (qejikze4.default-release-1669319412153) which contains the latest bookmarks in the "bookmarkbackups" folder. I tried to just replace the bookmark file in the new install (how I previously transfered them), but I can't find the files in the latest V.120 version. Any suggestions on how I can do it?

New computer (Windows 11) shows 'Old Firefox Data'. Opened hidden files. Using File Explorer found Profile Folder & renamed it 'old'. Copied and pasted 'Old Firefox Data' as new profile. Firefox would not open. Had to remove etc and Firefox worked again. Thought this maybe the easiest way to get my Bookmarks back.

PS Presume Profile Folder does not contain Thunderbird Addresses?

What would cause websites not responding. I have no malware and the cache is clean. Could it be in the properties, or whatever.
