Hi everyone,

Hope somebody can help me. I already checked two browsers like Google Chrome & Safari - finally the issue, as I see, is only on Firefox browser.

On our smm panel https://plusmein.net/ we have the embedded Vimeo video with intro image and it seems that it is not working correct at all (means when I press the play button I hear just sounds, but not see how the video is playing). And this happen only from Firefox mobile browser as I checked - I attached the screenshot as well.

So I totally don`t understand how to fix it without delete the cover image. In all browsers all works good. But I`m not a geek so I think maybe I`m doing something wrong.

Please help. Thanks

I have used Firefox since its inception. Within the past 6 months, certain websites that used to work properly simply will not load anymore. For example: https://enlighten.enphaseenergy.com/web/3419721/today/graph/hours?v=3.4.0 . I have tried refreshing, removing and restoring, creating a new, blank profile from scratch, starting in safe mode, and other browsers. In this particular instance, Chrome, Edge, and even my old Internet Explorer work just fine, with no alterations or modifications, as well as with my current extensions (Roboform). So does an old version of Firefox (76.0.1). However, current versions of Firefox simply show "Connecting to Gateway", and then time out. I have even set Firefox to refresh the page on EACH access, to no avail...

The ONLY thing that works with the new versions of Firefox is to delete the Cache, and on the next load of Firefox, these and other sites will work. However, returning to the site a second time results in the same error. This makes no sense to me, since forcing Firefox to reload the page on entry, in my mind, should be the same as clearing the cache for the offending page. I have no idea whether the problem is with the website coding, or with the Firefox coding. In this particular case, the Enlighten website states that recent versions of Firefox ARE supported, along with Edge and Chrome. But the fact is, only Edge and Chrome work flawlessly with no issues.

I am open to any and all suggestions, because I have been working with the same errors across several websites, and Firefox is the only browser that has problems with the site.

I find it really annoying that Mozilla insist on using Google as the default search engine and without any option to change it. Of course the entire reason behind google is that they wish to spy on everyone and keep as much information as possible on each and every one of us. So one wonders where the idea that Mozilla protects your privacy comes from, as no matter what Mozilla do, Google is still looking in and indeed listening in too. I used to love Mozilla Firefox but of late it has almost got into the same bed as Google. We need and want a change - Give us the option at least and be transparent. Masking is for robbers! I'm personally sick of google and have been for several years - they couldn't beat DuckDuckGo so now they have Mozilla on their side with most things DEFAULT and without the possibility of changing that (by the looks of it). Google is a spy and the sooner people realise that, the better, so no good looking for an answer as to how to remove it - Mozilla will not help as it seems to be stuck with it and no amount of trying this or that will solve the problem fully. It is up to Mozilla to get out of the grasp of Google and allow customers (the public) to have a choice - so let's have it Mozilla. By the way, I don't share anything (not even information as to how my browser works - I wouldn't be so stupid as to trust Google even for that, but can guarantee anyone they already have that information and more.

I am unable to find Move to <display-name> option under Windows menu item. It is available for almost all other apps (inbuilt/ downloaded) i use everyday and wondered why. I use it considerably to move around windows according to priority. I miss this on Firefox. I searched for customizing but did not find much help online.

I am a dev with an external monitor, used Firefox on windows, and recently switched to Firefox on Macbook m1. Including me, I guess there would be many more who would love this on Firefox. Can anyone help on this ?

Attached images for reference.

Webpages with divs and buttons that hover a consistent space of the screen like taskbars and Reddit's "back to top" button flicker white and jitter around when I try to scroll and I would like to find a quick fix if possible. I am a new user and I've only so far had to touch config settings to fix on hover UI with Twitter. Everything else is default settings and I keep getting forwarded to old bug reports and github pages for web developers when I'm trying to fix it from the user side on multiple common pages like Tumblr and StackOverflow.

Hardware Acceleration "available by default" but not working

Hi. I have an older computer from 2007 with Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit fully updated on it, as well as an Intel Pentium M 2.3 GHz, 2 GB RAM, and an ATI Mobility Radeon X600 with the most recent Windows Update driver, which is 8.561.0.0 from Dec 1st 2008. I also have "DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010)" installed (had it before, and just reinstalled it anyway). And as I said, it's fully updated, meaning it also has the DirectX 11.1 update installed.

I installed the newest Firefox on it, and going on `about:support`, Hardware Acceleration tells me it's available by default but it's not working anyway (either "unavailable by runtime" or "failed by runtime", saying either that WebRender failed initializing, or that it failed acquiring a D3D11 device, and no idea why, because I think I just reinstalled it with the Microsoft DX installed from their download pages(?).

What does that mean? How can I fix this and get it to work? I could really use HW acceleration on this old thing. I've already disabled disk cache, and now the only issue is the high CPU bottleneck on it if I watch a video or do other rather intensive thing (even though the video is at 360p). [By the way, congratulations, this is the fastest browser I've found, and disabling disk cache and changing memory cache capacity are really very useful options, so thank you so much].

Does it help if I saw dxdiag says there was a problem with DirectShow, even though if I ignore the error, DirectShow, Direct3D and APG textures are still "Activated"? (If I don't ignore the error, dxdiag crashes)

I can provide any other required information. Thank you.

Installed version: 104.0.1 (64-bit) on Windows 10, current as of this instant date.

Ref: This question was asked previously at [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/que.../1341115] about a year ago with no replies or answers.

Issue: I am attempting to access a flight-sim site, http://forum.ivao.aero, and due to the way the site is set up, they refuse to accept https connections. (I know, stupid, but don't bark at me about it. . .)

My problem is that, in settings, I have the preference for enforcing https turned off - yet no matter what I try, it ALWAYS converts it to a HTTPS request.

Trying the same site in Chrome works as expected - though Chrome does get a bit fussy - however, once you reassure it that you haven't lost your mind, it lets you view the site. . . (wink!)

Firefox, on the other hand absolutely REFUSES to allow HTTP requests, which is fatal. Not only for this, but for certain things I do with in-house robotics experiments that are http by default and won't change any time soon.

How do I fix this? Is it even POSSIBLE to fix, or is Mozilla going to assume that everyone is using https and everyone else can go pound sand?

I have recently bought a new laptop and installed Firefox, which I have been using for a long time. After signing into my Firefox account, everything synced over to my new Firefox account, apart from the colorways theme that I chose with the Firefox 94 update - mine is "Foto - Soft". Is there any way that I can get this theme on my newly installed version of Firefox? Thanks.
