Since the last Firefox update I seem to have a problem with voice being out of sync with lip movement. The voice is coming out about a half second or so before the mouth moves. Also the game I play, Forge of Empires, now has a bit of lag when I click on anything. If I click to move the screen it's lagging behind my movements. It wasn't this way before the last update. Any help would be appreciated.

Today I started having a problem with Smartnews.com. When I click a news item link, it displays a barcode and asks to install the app on my phone. When I use Microsoft Edge, I do not have this problem - the article displays fine. Does anyone know what is going on with Smartnews.com? Thanks

I have to use Safari to access ssa.gov. I cannot access my account using Firefox. The computer is a Mac operating under Ventura 13.1. The Firefox version is 108.0.1 and the Safari version is 16.2. The problem is ongoing. Willard Jaques [email removed from public] [removed phone# from public]

/edit: edited personal info and moved thread from Firefox for iOS (for iPhone/iPad) to (desktop) Firefox section as you have macOS.

When I close Firefox and open it again the cookie deletion exception list is empty. The issue happens on my macOS/Linux/Windows installations.

I am using custom settings for the history. I setup Firefox to delete the history when I close it but I selected only Cookie, Cache and Offline websites data. All the other options (i.e. website settings) are unchecked.

Any ideas?

The text for certain parts of the calendar screen are jumbled and impossible to read. I don't have this problem when I open the calendar app using Chrome or Chromium, or in Firefox on my Macbook. It seems to be unique to my Firefox browser on my Ubuntu machine. I am attaching a screen shot that indicates the jumbles I see. The most prominent ones appear on the top line where one can change the week and day one is viewing. There are other places as well which are easily seen on the screen shot, especially when it is "blown up". I don't know how to fix this.

In the past, links in Thunderbird messages would open in an existing Firefox window. Now they open in a NEW Firefox window. I can't find a Thunderbird or Firefox setting that will correct this problem. Thanks in advance for helping me!!

This issue only occurs for users using Firefox. When creating a document in our company's Google Drive environment there is a required Data Classification label that must be applied to documents and users are prompted with "To comply with policies, fill in missing fields.Fill in required fields." but when they click to apply the label the labels fail to load and they receive "Couldn't load labels. Try again." This only happens in Firefox, no other browser, but works in a Firefox private window. A fresh install of Firefox vs one that has add-ons or customization behaves the same. I'm sure it's just some setting that needs to be changed but we've been unable to figure out what tweak is needed.

I dug around the various sites ... here, bugzilla, and the discussion. Didn't see a way to discuss it without blabbing the observation for all to see? I'm a mildly paranoid software engineer...

I laboriously curated the Firefox bookmarks toolbar on one Windows device, which has retained those settings. On every other device using Firefox and signed in to the same Firefox account, Windows or macOS, the first ten or so bookmarks are where they should be, the rest are not only randomly ordered but retain bookmarks that were deleted on the curated Firefox machine. Signing in and out of the accounts on any of the machines does exactly nothing, simultaneously signing out and in on all the machines(recommended on some posts about this topic) is physically impossible given that the machines are in different physical locations. I was hoping to switch to Firefox from another browser that does not have this particular problem, but apparently that is not to be. TBH this is about as far as I am willing to go, if Firefox can't do what its supposed to do I can't fix it.

There was a problem with the computer, so we initialized Windows. When I finished the initialization and tried to log in to my Firefox account, I was asked to authenticate my email. However, the password to verify my email (I use Protonmail) is randomly generated and stored in my Firefox account and I cannot verify it. What should I do?
