When I open firefox for the first time or after reboot or logout the internet doesn't connect immediately and it need almost 1 minute or more. I tried so many solutions, but they didn't work. If I reset Firefox, then the problem is fixed, but after some days, it's the same problem.

After upgrading to Firefox 103, I've noticed the following behavior:

The mouse icon does not change while moving over web pages or even the menu items and tabs.

It requires a click for the mouse icon to change and for an action to take place.

This causes problems because of some actions that expect a mouse hover or a click-and-hold response, which this error is preventing.

For example, clicking on Google Maps and dragging to move the map is impossible.

Hovering over a menu to allow it's automatic drop down to appear is also impossible.

This is not consistent; when I open a new Firefox window the mouse behaves normally for a time.

It does lose this ability but I don't know how quickly it happens, but after at least an hour of use, the problem is apparent.

I had thought this was a problem with my extensions or themes, because the problem does not exist in private mode. But when I temporarily removed all the extensions and themes from my setup, the problem still occurred. And the fact that a new window with all extensions still active suggests that this is not caused by those extensions, or if so, not immediately.

I've been dealing with this same problem repeatedly for over 2 years now. It appears to be what a number of threads appear to address, but their solutions don't really work. For example, this one: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1360287

Problem: I enter a credit card number I'd like Firefox to remember. It works once--the first time after I enter it. Then in the future, I try to use it again. I get the option to use it from a dropdown autofill menu (it shows the cards I've used in the past, including the card's number as x's except the final number: like xxxx xxxx xxxx 1837. I select one, but it doesn't fill in the box with the number. I can try to select it with the mouse, the tab key, etc. but nothing results in it filling the box, despite the fact that it appears to have the number there (as evidenced by the xxxx 1837 number, the address, my name, the expiration, etc.).

I decide to reenter it. It works again that time, but then stops working shortly there after (a few weeks later).

My system is firefox for Linux 107.0 (64-bit) " Firefox Release November 15, 2022.

I can also confirm that I've followed the support suggestions to double check the about:config info: extensions.formautofill.creditCards.available extensions.formautofill.creditCards.enabled

(Some of the "solutions" I've used in the past have focused on other options.) Most recently I double checked that one, but all the about:config options I can find on credit cards have the options selected that it would appear they would need to work correctly. (See image below)

None of this seems to work; it's pretty annoying to see people "think" they solve the problem, but their "fix" only works for one use.

So I have some questions: -Could this be specific to the Linux version of Firefox? -Could it be that since I run Arch Linux (with frequent updates) something that updates repeatedly 'resets' some portion of the credit card info? (Would it still show "xxxx xxxx xxxx 1837" and the right expiration, address, etc. if it were reset by something?) -Could it have something to do with Firefox's sync? I use this same firefox account on 3 devices, even though 90% of my time is on my desktop Linux system

I use Firefox on Linux Debian 11 (Bullseye). After a recent automatic update to Firefox 91.10.0esr, some websites will not load (just sit with a blank page, showing flicking loading symbol). Examples are ocado.com and abelandcole.co.uk. I have tried all the usual things to fix, including, switching off VPN, clearing cookies and caches, running in safe mode, all with no success. Both sites run fine in Vivaldi and Brave. I have eventually got the pages to load by disabling IPv6 in Firefox. Clearly there is a problem with 91.10.0esr. I'm not sure whether the workaround of disabling IPv6 might cause other problems or weaken security or privacy?

I would like to disable the "Confirm Upload" dialog when uploading files on a web page. I need to do a lot of uploading and confirming every time is really hampering my work flow, especially since I can't even confirm with a keystroke.

Is there a config setting or option to disable this on a per site or global manner? I can't find any info in all my searches.

Thanks

It seems Mozilla now things that forcing me to click through a "welcome tips wizard" dialog box is a good idea. Since I work in IT, I'm using browsers across dozens of endpoints in dozens of environments every day. To open Firefox and have to click Skip over and over and over because the wizard won't let me just skip the whole thing on one fell swoop, is a recipe for fatigue! I don't care about changing color schemes or signing into an account etc etc. I just care about using the browser to go where I need to go. Yet not even Escape works to get out of the captive experience. Please stop following in the footsteps of Microsoft who thinks they have a right to force every user into an experience. Please stop being like other apps that introduce new features and feel they have a right to force users to "see" them via UI popups that are in your face until you either click through them or click skip for every single one. If you really think I should care about these features, at least allow me to skip the whole process whenever I wish. Don't make me click Skip over and over and over. Maybe one day I will read about these new features that Mozilla things are so important, but even then I'll read it once on my own computer probably and then still be "forced" into this unpleasant experience on every other endpoint I remote onto for weeks and months into the future. Thanks a lot.

Could we get a totp authenticator for Firefox. I've been using Authy. They used to have a version for all OSs, Linux, Mac, and Windows - as well as Apple and Google phones. They have just discontinued their desktop apps. I was thinking wouldn't it be great if an authenticator was built into Firefox? I envisage it working like a password manager insofar as the authenticator code gets autopopulated.

This could either be built in or offered as an extension. The later may be more palatable lest the corporate overlords label Mozilla as troublesome.

Thank you for your consideration, Joe

Hi there. I'm a web developer. I have many local sites on my computer on various domains that work via http. I need to login into them many times during day, but every time I have a FF warning about "this connection is not secure". It makes no sense to work with them through https. I try to disable warning by to "about:config" options: security.insecure_password.ui.enabled = false security.insecure_field_warning.contextual.enabled = false but it wasn't work. Can anyone help me with this?

P.S That options above works fine until the last update or something.

P.P.S. I really don't know why FF does not allow me to add some site's into whitelist or something like that...
