Hello, I did something stupid. I was trying to set up the dark/light theme via cli, and I asked openai about it.

It suggested this command:

echo 'user_pref("lightweightThemes.selectedThemeID", "firefox-compact-light@mozilla.org");' | jq -s '.[0]' > ~/.mozilla/firefox/*.default-release/prefs.js

Which resulted in the following error:

jq: parse error: Invalid numeric literal at line 1, column 11

When I opened mozilla, my profile was reset, and websites won't load (except this one!). They just hang there loading forever. My internet is fine, chromium works perfectly.

So how do I fix this and is there a way I can recover my profile? (Yes I know I should've made backups)

I can't access my online account from Firefox. I get the following message:

Our online banking system is currently unavailable. Please try again later. We're sorry for the inconvenience.

I can't watch YouTube videos because it says I'm using ad blockers (I disabled the ad blockers in Firefox that I didn't know had been activated, but it still won't let me watch anything but my channel.)

I can access my online account from Safari with no problems or messages.

This is the link that Fox was reporting difficulties playing on a Mac running Firefox. I just ran it on my ancient imac using an older LTS version of firefox and am not having any problems (nor with chrome)-

Hello,

I have a spreadsheet with links. I need to open multiple links in the order they are in the spreadsheet.

When I select multiple links and click "option+return", the links open in the opposite order.

I would expect the first link to the on the left and the second link to be on the right.

Is there anything I can do to make this happen?

When I have sent an email, it is not seen in 'all mails' nor 'sent emails', it is attached to a thread, when I open the thread, I have to go through many 'header' emails to find it at the bottom. Why is my last email NOT in 'sent', not in 'all mail' - or if it is on the thread, not seen at the TOP, displayed, ready to reply. Sending me nuts. Please advise how I can customize - to see the emails sent and received in REAL time. Currently my sent mail has so few in the folder. How can I stop this. I want All Mail and Sent mail, at the time I sent them. Not buried, Not as threads. I have tried removing threads, and it think it wants to delete them, I don't want that.

I have macbook. When I open a puzzle e.g. sudoku, the puzzle costantly jiggles about (which I have video of). When same puzzle is opened in PC, ipad or Safari this doesn't happen. Why?

Please return the scroll bar to the proper width like in Win 10, like Chrome in Win 11. Who's the idiot that thinks tiny thin scroll bars are cool and easy to use? tf is wrong with you idiots. Don't offer me solutions. You are the solution. Update firefox, fix the damn scroll bar.

Boxes in forms on websites don't show up clearly. I cannot tell if I've checked the box or not. Also columns in graphs don't line up. I'm guessing I set up something incorrectly in Firefox browser settings, but I have no idea what.

Was getting some crash reports....now have a black bar on top of new tabs...it finally scrolls when you are halfway down the page. any help would be appreciated.

Is there a way to use the default xfce windows instead of firefox`s own? I mean I have my own setting in the xfce window manager that are not applyed to firefox. fo example: I unchecked Raise windows when clicking inside application window, that is not applyed to firefox, I also have a context menu when right clicking on other windows title bars that I can customize, In firefox I have something total else.

open tabs crash every few minutes. Very frustrating. This behavior just recently started. I restarted Firefox: no change. I put it in troubleshoot mode: no change. Any suggestions?
