I'm using Firefox 104 on LInux Mint 19. In settings I have downloads set to the Download folder and "always ask" is checked. However, when downloading a file the dialog opens to some random folder that ff creates under /run/user/1000/doc, every time, and every time I have to navigate to where I actually want to put the file otherwise I'd have to go searching deep into the file system to find it. In earlier versions (I still have a copy of ff 71 installed too) The download dialog opens to the download folder and if I save the file elsewhere the next download opens to the folder where saved the last file. This is the behavior that I want in ff 104. How can I set that up?

I am using v. 104.0.1 Every time I open the browser I get the pop-up notifying me that an update is available. I don't want to update at this time. I can and will update when I prefer to. How can I get this annoying pop-up to stop? Please don't make me go to Edge. Please.

Earlier this evening, I was doing a little security update and changing the password to my Twitter and email addresses. Standard stuff. Firefox suggested a secure password and I agreed; Firefox came up with a good one. The key icon in the URL bar showed a little message that said it had saved the passwords. Hooray.

It turns out, it didn't update my passwords at all and now I am locked out of my accounts. Firefox hasn't saved these new passwords it came up with and I'm stuck with my old ones which, obviously, don't work.

What can I do?

Is there way how to organize my addons to groups on firefox toolbar? Let's say that I want to have folders or containers or groups for: video addons, shopping addons, searching addons, tabs addons, ... (see attached image).

My email account has been discontinued due to identity theft. I can't log into my Firefox account without entering a confirmation code that is being sent to a nonexistent email address. What is the work around for adding a new email address? William Friedman [email]@gmail.com

I need help in solving a problem. Using FIREFOX: When I go onto the Chase web site, it displays my account but will not display the page with my last (or previous) statements. It looks like it is working, but the page remains blank. I was finally told by the Chase help desk to try it with Google Chrome -- and, sure enough, it works. I have checked to see what version of Firefox I have and it is: 104.0.1 (64 bit). It says this is the latest. The Chase person told me that they have had calls from customers using Firefox who had the same problem as me. Is there a fix from Firefox for this problem? In the meantime, I will be forced to use Google Chrome when I want to deal with Chase. By the way, American Express is able to display their statements when I am using Firefox without a problem. Also, I was told to try the Chase APP on my iPhone -- and it works too. It seems there is a problem between Firefox and part of the Chase software.

Device: M1 Macbook Air, Monterey 12.5.1, Media output device: Pixel Buds A. Audio cracks and balance shifts to one bud when pausing/ playing a Youtube video, YT Music audio, etc. for a split second and is very jarring. Works fine in other browsers.

This Webroot Loads Automatically every time I Boot my Computer, and Runs in the Background of my Windows 10 64-Bit operating System.. But, just about 2 weeks ago, the Webroot Dashboard that "Normally Opens" up in "Green", Now Opens up in "RED" and wants me to Provide my "Membership ID", and The "Product Key" to it.. And this is a Paid Subscription thru Best Buy / Geek Squad Every Year, ( and Does Not Expire until This coming November of 2022..) So, Now I Know why this Webroot is Not Loading, and is asking me for my "Information".. Because I am MISSING This Information, And 269 Other Logins, & Passwords from Mozilla Firefox.. Could SOMEONE? Please, Advise me as to "WHERE" the "Encrypted" (User names & Passwords) are on my Hard drive?? And How do I "IMPORT" These "FILES" back into Firefox's (Password Manager) ?? Getting sick of FireFox, I want to search from the GOOGLE SEARCH BAR, not the address bar, but the settings don't work you can choose to have the search bar next to the address bar, but it doesn't work, the google search bar doesn't work either, no matter what setting, your search ends up in the address bar, with all the updates, they don't fix crap on here, when someone makes a complaint, FIX THE CRAP, I don't need to ask 100 people why it wont work, just FIX IT!!

As of yesterday, 9/4/2022, I cannot access YouTube or search anything on Google. The YouTube issue was supposedly fixed with the most recent Mozilla FF update, but it doesn't seem to be working. I cannot load YouTube or search for videos if the page does load. I cannot reach the Google page and I cannot search using the Google toolbar extensions.

When I open a email which contains an url like https://link.domain.com using sendgrid.com's service, I get a SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN error.

An example of such an url is https://link.intersport.fi. The domain starting with link is a service provided by sendgrid.com to be used in email advertising.

The issue is not specific to intersport.fi but to any domain using sendgrid's link service.

The strange thing is that Chrome and Edge are totally happy with link.domain.extension.

What is your take on this?

Yahoo mail Cannot select a message using the checkbox. Cannot reply, delete, etc. Trash icons are missing All works in Google Chrome. Clearing cache/cookies, restarting computer, nothing works.

Using a desktop with Windows 11 OS. Google search is not working in Firefox, but works fine in another browser. Have also noticed I was getting several sites I normally visit were asking me to validate that I was a human. I have cleared the cache and cookies, but did not help.

Voice Fill was remove in February 28, 2021 by Firefox. I'm trying to use (Read Aloud: A Text to Speech Voice Reader). However it requires permission?? It does not work. any suggestions or links would be appreciated. Pls. Thanks.

After the introduction of Safari years ago, I have finally recently switched to Firefox. I like it, but the font thing is about to send me packing. I just cannot get a decent automatic display of all websites. I never had an issue with Safari. Example: Gmail's body section is way too small, no matter how much I try to enlarge it, it just doesn't want to enlarge. I mean, this is really a hassle. Is there a simple setting in Firefox that can duplicate Safari's handling of text/fonts? I really would like to use it as my default browser, but it's really getting annoying.
