Let's use password manager as an example:

1. Open extension
2. Search entry
3. Copy username
4. CMD+Tab into another application
5. Paste username
6. Open Firefox back
7. Copy password
8. Switch to another app and paste password too
9. Optionally return for TOTP code

Problem is step 4 breaks the whole process - when you perform CMD+Tab, extension window is closed. This behavior is consistent, but doesn't appear in other browsers. Is there any hidden setting perhaps? Searching lead to absolutely no results.

I frequently have difficulty when I need to make plain-test copies of web pages. These are pages that only allow "Select All" to select parts of pages, so that important parts of the pages cannot be selected, or so that a large number of select-and-copy cycles are required to copy the information on a webpage. The Firefox extensions that I have tried like the old "right to click" do not seem to help much. With old versions of Windows, I would use print-to-file for a generic plain-text printer, but that does not provide a readable file on Win 10.

Hours after exiting firefox, the application continues to run processes and hold on to the memory it was using when I exited the application. The only way to free the memory is to key the processes via Task Manager

Trying to access youtube shows the following message:

My Macbook Pro was repaired at the local Apple store. When I got it back, Firefox was closed. When I opened it again, I could not restore my previous session. It has been over a week now. How can I restore the session from before my Macbook Pro was repaired?

How to stop firefox from downloading x.htm files? I have checked "Always ask me where to save files" in the Downloads menu, for every file type available there, and it still will download x.htm without asking.

Previously to a mac OS upgrade to 11.6.1, the browser worked fine. Now, nothing loads even though all the other browsers work fine. Pages just display "Secure Connection Failed." I have gone through and executed the adjustments on the "Websites don't load - troubleshoot and fix error messages" page but it still does not work.

Since this took me awhile to figure out I thought this could help other people.

Recently got a new PC with Windows 11 and since I downloaded Firefox the shortcut of CTRL+Shift+O will not open the bookmark manager. Does the same on Opera GX and Chrome. Not sure if I did something wrong in the PC settings but nothing I've tried has fixed the problem

Since updating to Firefox 100.0.1 cannot print any web pages. Cannot print to a printer, or to FoxIt pdf printer. Printing in MS Edge works with no problems. I have cleared saved print settings - did not fix problem. Please advise. Thank you.

Up to today if I click on a link in Outlook email it would open in Firefox (both set as default) If I change browser default to Chrome, links work. I'm at latest update in Firefox. If I right click on email link, copy, paste into Firefox, links work OK. Mouse icon will spin for a few seconds and there are no error messages. Not aware of any changes. Restarts of PC, Outlook, and Firefox (even tried troubleshoot mode) = no help.

Fire Fox no longer appears on the menu bar. I have to go to programs and open it each time I want to use Fire Fox. It will appear on the menu bar as long as I have it open but leaves the bar if I close it.

I have recently registered with Firefox after having used it for a long time. I now find that the password that I thought I had used is not recognised. I am currently logged in. Is there a way of viewing my password in my account details? I do not want to change the password as I am unsure what I will lose from my history etc

whenever I try to use a theme that defaulted to dark mode in the previous update, it defaults to light mode instead. for some websites this means that it displays in bright white. i need dark mode. even when i set the toolbar colour (which previously controlled dark/light in Firefox Colour) to black it's on light mode. how do I get dark mode back, i hate this. this theme (picture attached) used to be dark mode but now it defaults to light. how do i get dark mode back.

I've always used Firefox as my default web browser. Now that Microsoft Edge got loaded onto my PC I can't access a lot of my bookmarks through Firefox. I get an "access denied" response. I've tried removing MS Edge but it won't let me. Is there a fix for this problem? How do I remove MS Edge? Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank You. Dale P. In Firefox I set my download settings to "Always ask you where to save file", and for most of the websites that still works. Unfortunately, since a recent update, gmail does not do that anymore. It gets immediately saved in my downloads folder without any prompt of where to save it. Any solution how to fix this? Thanks!
