Since Firefox updated to 84.0.2, my Google Calendar (web access, no plugin) just hangs with the month displayed on the left and the blue "activity" bar at the top continually scrolling left to right, I never get any updates. If I fire up Chrome, it works fine. Has Firefox suddenly been locked out of Google applications? I've searched the suggestions, cleared all cookies, set general.useragent.compatMode.firefox to TRUE, no change in behavior.

Every search I perform using google is being hyjacked by yahoo. I have read that many other users are having the same problem. I have tried to follow the steps to remove the add-on or extension but when I click on "add-ons" or extensions from the menu it just opens a new blank tab in my browser. When I click on search in the preferences menu, google is the only search engine checked in all of my selections. Please help me get rid of the yahoo search.

I lost all my windows and tabs on the latest firefox upgrade and I am trying to restore the session.

I've done this many times in the pat and I know it is as simple as renaming the old session file and moving it, but I never seem to remember exactly what I need to rename and move! I wish there was a simple tool that did this, as I always seem to waste a lot of time trying to remember and figure it out.

Anyway, I found the previous session in the backup session folder . I renamed it: "sessionstore.jsonlz4" and moved it to the main folder - but this didn't work. Actually, whatever happened it erased the file! Fortunately I still have another version of the file backed up.

What do I need to name this file and where do I need to put it so that Firefox will recognize it as a previous session and allow me to load it?

I searched this forum but couldn't find an answer. I have "restore last session" turned on, but I'd like Firefox wouldn't reopen my last visited site after I close the browser by closing the last tab. In other words: if I close the browser by a regular means (by clicking the rightmost upper X, or by right-clicking the taskbar and choosing close window) it goes to the last viewed site when I reopen the browser – and that's ok – but when I close the last tab and the browser closes, I don't want to see this site again when I reopen Firefox. Is there a way to achieve this? By the way, this is the standard behavior in Google Chrome.

Hi Im writing this post from my kids laptop but the problem is with my computer. I was in the middle of something when computer froze and it is now dead. I was able to check if I can access files from live cd and yeah I can see my files but I need to reinstall windows7. When I do it I will loose my files. I need to recover few more things than just files. The question to you is... how can I recover all my tabs, my open session, all logins, passwords etc in Firefox?. Im hoping it is stored somehow deep in windows and I can just copy/paste these files to new reinstalled windows7

I am having trouble logging into my bank's website from Firefox. It's worked fine for several years and I have no clue what triggered it all of a sudden. Furthermore, I can log in just fine from various other browsers.

I have Google around on the issue for awhile now, and have troubleshooted several different things based on what I've Googled, such as clearing all site cookies, data, cache, etc. Also I had a pop-up blocker add-on but I removed it and that didn't do anything. Lastly, I tried completely uninstalling Firefox and re-installing it without ANY add-ons, but it still doesn't work.

Details on what happens: I go to the log in page, and I put in my user and password and click to log in, and it does nothing. It just basically refreshes the page, so the page comes back up with blank user and password fields.

Any help/ideas on the matter would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Why can a stupid failing script on a web-page, or even intentionally so programmed script disable the copy (and sometimes paste) functionality?

How can this be disabled/fixed?

One highlights a text (any text) on some web sites, Edit menu allows Copy, context menu allows Copy, one hits Copy, nothing happens. It's not even a page where someone wanted to "copy protect" some information.

Copy and Paste should work just as advertised since those were invented, how hard can it be to get that right? Even stupid Notepad never fails at it. And no, I don't care what the idiot who programmed a page though would be/should be best for me, I want Copy to be copy, Paste to be paste. This used to work in "original" Firefoxes even when page developers wanted to make it not work.

And yes, while on a given page Copy fails miserably, at the same time in other pages it works.

I have bookmarks toolbar and only recently I see this folder has popped up. I can't drag it or nothing. Here is picture. windows 10 firefox 84

How to add background image to default Firefox homepage and new tab page in windows 10? The present default is showing just white color in background....I want to add my custom background image(not a solid color) to it like chrome browser.

I used to have Roomy Bookmark App instaled and Im still missing it :( Is there a way to reduce bookmark size to favicons and see the name of it when I hover over it? And not having to fix it after each update? I love Firefox but this one thing is really to improve because I have so many bookmarks its hard to expand the list of it everytime.

I have been getting "PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR" when trying to access google or any of its services like youtube or gmail etc. I have not tampered with any of the default settings. Please provide me with a solution.

Tous les jours je modifie les options des MP4 et PPS et demande d'utiliser VLC et Powerpoint cela fonctionne. Mais en quelques heures tout se remet à "Enregistrer" ss intervention de ma part cela se passe tous les jours et deviens agaçant. Pourtant word et d'autre programmes ne se modifient pas. N'y a t'il pas moyen de bloquer toute modification à ce tableau de paramètres.

I just installed Brave, and clicked on "Import settings & bookmarks", then chose Firefox from a popup list

Without typing my password, or doing anything else, Brave then instantly imported all of the saved passwords that I had stored in Firefox. I can now view all of my most secret saved passwords of Firefox... in Brave

This makes me wonder, if Brave can instantly import (and display in clear text) all of my Firefox saved passwords, couldn't any other rogue app do exactly the same?

Shouldn't they be stored in an encrypted format, at least?

Am I missing something or are the passwords wide open that Firefox saves?

I have never and will never use Facebook but I keep getting these annoying little square pop ups with the Facebook icon in them regardless. I have read the fixes on the web for this but they all assume you are using Facebook which I am not. So is there any way to stop this happening? It is incredibly annoying especially as I detest Facebook and all the problems it is causing in society.
