Is there a way to completely opt out of having AI in my browser?

I find recent implementations of AI in Firefox quite frankly disgusting. I don't want to see it, I don't want to use it, I don't want it suggested to me. Not only it's unneeded, but also all your LLMs are a waste of electricity, fresh water and are a threat to my privacy, and we don't even mention all the legal trouble AI scraping creates.

I need a switch to completely remove any mention of LLMs/AIs in my Firefox browser unless I search for it on the internet (and, trust me, I wont; I'd prefer to continue thinking for myself and having real people with skills and talents do things if I can't do them myself) and have none of them touch me in any way. Kill that thing with fire.

Ideally Firefox, one that advertises itself as a secure browser with respect towards its users, shouldn't have any mention of AI in the first place, you know. But since companies are in a craze about it for some unknown reason (trust me, we don't want it; if I want to be lied to, I'd go to a paediatrician to talk about my symptoms, not a language model I can't trust with my data), at least give your users an option to get that awful thing out of their browser it they want to.

I can NO longer log into my BANK, I changed the security settings back to "standard" but I STILL CANNOT LOG INTO MY BANK. it's website acts as though I'm a new customer & want's me to open an account,I ALREADY HAVE AN ACCOUNT & HAVE HAD AN ACCOUNT AT THAT BANK FOR MANY YEARS! I have jumped through many "loops" at the bank trying to fix this mess, but they can't,FIREFOX IS NOW THE PROBLEM & someone needs to find out what they changed in their updates that has prevented me from logging into my BANK.

When the translator starts translating from English to French, it displays Indonesian, but I haven't installed anything in Indonesian, and I don't read Indonesian, so where is it coming from?

I have Firefox installed on three Windows Desktop Computers. On one, I just cannot delete Bookmarks, no matter what suggestions I try. Verify Integrity of the database produced no results. I do not, for a variety of reasons, sync bookmarks (or anything else) between the three installations. Experienced user that has spent far too long on what should be a simple issue.

At your recommendation I signed up to Ad Avoid and now FireFox tells me that I could/should not access BT.Com because of the certificate issued by Ad Avoid

Hi, Since three or four months, whenever I log into Outlook live, either on Mac or Windows PC, I get a security warning saying that the information will not be secure (Please see attachment.) When I log into the same account, from Edge for example, I do not get the warning popup. I really enjoy using Firefox and would love to continue but this case is worrying me a bit. Any idea to help? I GOT TIRED OF FREQUENT FIREFOX CRASHES (C0000005) IN BOTH THE 64-BIT AND 32-BIT DESKTOP VERSIONS. I HAVE BEEN USING THE 64-BIT VERSION IN WINDOWS 11 (I HAVE A HIGH-END SAGER LAPTOP WITH 32GB RAM. I INSTALLED THE FREQUENT FIREFOX UPDATES BUT THE PROBLEN PERSISTED EVER SINCE VERSIONS 42X WERE RELEASED. I TRIED THE 32-BIT VERSION BUT THE PROBLEM PERSISTED. FINALLED, I TRIED THE DEVELOPER VERSION: NO MORE CRASHES! I READ THE RESPONSES FROM YOUR CLUELESS STAFF TO OTHER CUSTOMERS WITH THE SAME TROUBLE. THIS IS NOT A WINDOWS ERROR; THIS IS A FIREFOX APPLICATION ERROR. MAYBE SOME OF YOUR FIREFOX DEVELOPER CODERS SHOULD ASSIST THE 32-BIT AND 64-BIT DEVELOPERS. OR, DUMP THE VERSION 4X CODE AND BUILD ON THE MORE STABLE 39X CODE. ALSO, DON'T BLAME WINDOWS FOR FIREFOX APPLICATION ERRORS. AND...NEVER SUGGEST A WINDOWS REINSTALL FOR FIREFOX ERRORS!!!

Firefox kept eating my RAM, running dozens of processes. I have gone into about:config and set the dom.ipc.processCount to 1 - then I restarted Firefox and found 5 processes running straightaway before even using the browser. I closed it down and have started it again and now there are 11 processes running with just one tab open. The problem repeats on three different computers which are not infected with malware. One computer with slightly less RAM I now cant even use Firefox at all (though all other browsers work fine) because the tabs constantly crash due to the high number of processes. Is there any way to set the process limit low in a way that Firefox actually responds to?

mozilla won't save my previous windows and tabs even though i have that check marked in the settings. it's been like this for months. to keep them i've had to keep my pc on for moths. help, i'm thinking of leaving Mozilla because of this, it's incredibly frustrating to lose all my work every time.

I did some research recently on some travel sites.

Today, while trying to research which tab was doing DNS queries to SnapChat (which I never use) I learned about `about:processes`. I found 5 "hidden" tabs from various travel sites (some of which I never visited) running in the background. I did not explicitly hide any tabs.

WHY IS IT ALLOWED FOR SITES TO KEEP OPEN HIDDEN TABS AT ALL WITHOUT TELLING ME ABOUT IT?

This is not conducive to trusting Mozilla.

I was asked to create a new profile in order to keep using Firefox, despite never having an account. After I clicked okay, it opened the new version of Firefox, but without all the passwords, bookmarks and history of the past few years. This is really inconvenient. I have since then made an account, but the fact that I can't find any of this data anywhere has me worried that every time I update Firefox it will wipe my account.

I am so tired of the stupid banner popping up every time I put something into full screen, that says "press escape to exit full screen".

Is there a way to disable that?

I am on a windows 10 PC.

If I have taken photos in past years on a particular date, I get an email from Microsoft to review them. I normally do it on my phone, but today tried it from my computer. The path is "One Drive" "Photos" "Moments" and then "On This Day." If you click on the photos that in the graphic that looks like a movie strip, a montage of the photos shows up and you can also click on one. However, in Firefox, I click on a picture and the screen goes gray, but nothing ever loads. I thought it was a Microsoft issue so used their help function. The rep and I tried it, then cleared the cache, then tried it in a private setting. We got the same result every time. Then he tried it whatever Microsoft's browser is called and it worked just fine. They said it was a problem on the Mozilla Firefox end, so I'm reporting it. Please let me know if you can help me make it work. I don't like using anything except Firefox.

I have been trying to enable Firefox Sync on my Windows 11 PC (Firefox 145.02). I open the Firefox Sync window, I click on Log In, I enter my e-mail and click on "Sign up or Sign In" and then the view freezes and I never get any further. The attached screen capture never changes, no matter how long I wait.

as the title suggests, i am now allowede to copy and paste at all anymore from the browser. and not only that, i am also unable to paste anything i have copied from the browser into another app. i am able to copy and paste from and to any other app, just not anything firefox related

i have checked about:config if anything with cut, copy, clipboard etc is set to true, and it was

i have refreshed firefox multiple times, which fixes it for 3 minutes and then im back to the same problem

i have uninstalled firefox, removed the local files, rebooted my pc, reinstalled firefox. and that didnt work

i stopped all addons, and i tried safe mode

i am at a loss what is going on with my firefox

also to add, i tried a firefox fork (librewolf) and from that i am able to copy and paste from and to the browser, which makes it even weirder

I can't figure out why gmail will not allow me to log in. It tells me that cookies are turned off but I can't even figure out what that means or how to correct it

Hi Google Maps all of a sudden is not showing the names of places in Firefox. When Google maps loads initially the names show for about 1 second and then disappear.

 I am on a Surface Pro 9.  

Google Maps works fine in Chrome.

I have already tried disabling extensions, clearing cache, and ensure the performance is set to run normally. 

What else can I do to fix this?
