Firefox Sync has been installed in my notebook but when the Firefox relaunch again, the Firefox Sync cannot be found in the Tools as if it has not been installed and can't find on the add-on list.

I'm trying to switch form Xmarks to Firefox Sync -. According to the your description I should be automatically prompted to set up my Sync account after I restart Firefox following download and installation of the Sync software. This is not happening - so how do I proceed? Cheers

Today, i use Xmarks and now, i hope to save all my settings on Xmarks to Firefox Sync (because Xmarks server will be shutdown on Janury 2011. How can export from Xmarks my passwords to import in Firefox Sync ?

Xmarks Sync is excellent but is closing down. How can I move to Firefox Sync from Xmarks Sync without loss of what is currently synchronised or any other damage unknown? I use two or three computers almost all the time (foolish, I know, but that's history)!

downloaded Firefoxsetup.3.6.10 from Mozilla Firefox Sync webpage. Twice Installed > restart Firefox > opens as normal NO other message. Sync is NOT in "options" window. Windows XP SP3 up to date. Was 3.6.10 before instal. How do I instal Sync?

I don't want to sync everything at this time. As a user of Xmarks, I only synchronized bookmarks. I have not been able to find out what gets synchronized if "Preferences" is checked.

I have been trying to setup Firefox Sync but have made a mess of it. I don't remember setting a "secret phrase" but it thinks I did and I don't have a clue what is was. I want to do my initial sync and set up a second computer but can't logon to the Sync server. I tried an uninstall/reinstall but when I tried to start over, it wouldn't let me use my origianl account name. Can't I delete the original account/data and start over? What should I do? Help, please.

circle in bottom right of window circles for maybe 10seconds, but nothing changes. sync could tell when i have changed the password on one computer but not the other, so obvious communication. very few bookmarks and history - fresh installs

i note that others are having problems with this version.  this is the first version i have used.

I have accidently deleted all my data for Firefox 3 when I uninstalled the Beta 4. I thought I would be able to get Sync to restore all the data, but it requires a Sync Key that I have no access to and cannot remember. Is there anything I can do to either A. recover my data or B. Somehow recover my Sync Key?

and entered my username and password. But got this message: "An unexpected error occured. Please try again later"

I have tried this a number of times but get the same message.

I have imported my contacts to IE before I ever installed Firefox. Now I have Firefox v3.6.1 & Sync installed & had been using for at least 2 months. Two days ago all my bookmarks were gone. I've exited the browser & reset my computer all to no avail.

I'm using Firefox version 3.6.10. Upon installation (repeatedly installed and uninstalled), I never received any prompts to create a secret phrase. I then select Tools/Sync/Preferences to manage the Firefox Sync Account. I select Manage Account and I see View Quota, Change Password, My Sync Key, Reset Sync and Stop Using This Account. There is no option to edit or create a secret phrase. Please help! I don't know where else to look or what else to do. Thanks!!

Since Firefox is not compatible with iPhones, my Bookmarks are not updated when I sync my phone. I was told by Firefox Support to download Firefox Sync on my computer and the Firefox Home App on my iPhone to solve the problem. I did that (I think), but Firefox Sync did not show up on my desktop on in "programs" after restarting the computer. What do I need to do to get this process to work properly? Did I miss something?

This morning, thankfully temporarily, all of my Firefox bookmarks were gone. And, synch wasn't there anymore either. I had some virus that Norton blew away this morning. I had to reboot and this happened. I blame Norton. Anyway, I reinstalled Synch and tried to get to the server to get my stuff. It asked for my password, which was fine. But, then, it asked for some other code, which no way I can remember.

Thankfully, after re-booting, my bookmarks are back. But, I still need that silly code! Thanks.
