I have used Firefox for years and had AVG free antivirus installed also for years. Tonight I had a popup window open from AVG informing me that AVG no longer support Firefox and have uninstalled their antivirus addon with immediate effect.

Does anyone know of a Free antivirus program that is any good and still supports Firefox?

When I open the Manage Bookmarks in Firefox I have thousands (not exaggerating) of recently bookmarked items. How to I delete all of them? I think I turned that feature off via the browser.bookmarks.showRecentlyBookmarked. I changed it from True to False I have tried deleting them one by one but it seems like they recreate and I am not making any progress deleting. How do I delete all of them?

My Firefox settings are configured to "Open previous windows and tabs" on Startup. This worked fine until this morning, when I lost all of the tabs in my session, including the pinned ones. The last time I closed Firefox, there was only one window open.

I have already tried these ideas to restore the tabs:

• CTRL+SHIFT+T: Does nothing
• CTRL+SHIFT+N: Does nothing
• Three bar menu -> History -> Recently closed tabs: The list is empty
• Three bar menu -> History -> Recently closed windows: The option is greyed out
• Three bar menu -> History -> Restore previous session: The option does not exist in the menu
• Open user profile folder and open sessionstore-backups folder: There are three files named "previous.jsonlz4", "recovery.baklz4" and "recovery.baklz4". They are each 2KB and contain only an empty tab with the URL "about:home". There are three additional files starting with "upgrade" but they are from too long ago, so they don't contain the tabs I require.

The contents of these tabs are vitally important for my work, so this is causing me significant stress. If anyone can suggest ways to recover my previous tab beyond the documented fixes, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much to anyone who can help!

For a few weeks now, FIrefox will not play DRM content video on this computer. I have tried all the suggested solutions and none have worked. Also, I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, but the problem remains. I am very frustrated with this problem and am ready to get rid of Firefox permanently on ALL our computers unless this can be fixed.

I started getting this message today - "this page is slowing down firefox. To speed up your browser stop this page" How can I fix it other than to start using Safari.

Hello, Firefox randomly downloaded a file, with seemingly randomly name, that is 0 bytes and in download manager the source is moz-safe-about. It happened when I was accessing a popular wiki site. I opened the file in notepad, it was empty. I put it on virus total and came back negative, as it is an empty file. I've curbed through the support tickets here, using the keyphrase 'moz-safe-about'. I understand this was/is quite a common problem, but it still makes me quite worried and left a sour taste in my mouth, as I haven't understood any of the explanations. I have enabled firefox to ask me whenever it wants to save something (I have no idea why this isnt the default state). Happened on a somewhat fresh, updated win 11 installation. I'm also attaching more information here with a picture. Long story short: should I be worried? Am I overreacting and this is just some sort of a bug that occurred while getting a sites data? For System Administrative reasons, I want to disable automatic Firefox updates. Firefox can ask me if I want to install an update, but I get to choose whether or not to update.

This started a few weeks ago. I thought it might have been because I synced the passwords with other devices. I reverted it back.

When in about:logins, I click on the log in button but nothing happens.

i am setting up a new laptop and trying to import all my current data from my old pc. Nothing is right. It imported alll the shortcuts on my toolbar from years ago. None of these are the current bookmarks from my old pc. ive tried syncing, importing again, nothing works. my bookmarks on my side bar are years old. I dont have ANY of these on my old pc as i deleted them years ago. what the heck is happening and how do i get my new pc browser to look exactly as my old pc looks. This is very frustrating. I have over 500 bookmarks on my sidebar. it looks like every bookmark i have EVER used. This is ridiculous.

i’m trying to open blackboard.com but it keeps telling me ( Did not Connect: Potential Security Issue ) some youtube guides say that you can modify the enterprise security roots from *false* to *true* and it will work, but is it safe to do that? and is there any solution the problem?.

TL;DR : Disqus comments used to work while using privacy Strict mode now it doesn't.

After years of it working out of the get-go while using Strict mode up till recently (about a year ago this was really low on my priority list) refused to work I though it was my Ad blocker was causing issues but after setting it in the filters to allow and even after turning it off still no dice.

Removed all add-ons tried again still Disqus comment section refused to load in the websites I regularly visit. So after giving up, I just look around in the browser setting to see if there is anything that may cause conflict with certain scripts from running.

updated to Version 124.0.1 (64-bit), now adblocker ultimate blocking website ( are you human? not a robot requests). There's no button to confirm.

I can get to log in screen ( Sams' club) but it goes right back to the are you human screen?, 

I can access the website if turn off Adblocker Ultimate. Adblocker appears up to date. When I disable Adblocker there is still a request, but this time a button below to press and hold which takes me to login screen. I can successfully login then. Reporting the issue which began within 5 min of the last Firefox update. I updated 3/23/2024

I've tried EVERYTHING I can think of to fix this issue. When 'trying' to open a YouTube video in Firefox, I'm 'informed' that I'm offline - try reconnecting (or something like that). I'm NOT offline. Three other browsers have NO problem opening these YouTube videos; it's only Firefox. Can someone PLEASE come up with a REAL resolve to this issue? I don't want to give up on Firefox and go back to Chrome. But this issue is VERY annoying. Thanks to anyone who can provide constructive resolution(s). AL R.

a few days ago, Firefox stopped playing sounds. Any sounds. not youtube, not on Facebook. Not even porn videos. nothing. i don't remember installing any new software and Chrome plays youtrube sounds just fine. I listen on headphones and when i unjack, i still can only hear Chrome's browser play sounds. It seems like its not my comp, its the browser itself and it's only happened recently. i have yet to uninstall the browser and re-install, but i think if i use the Mozilla backup program to save my bookmarks, it will save whatever setting is causing the problem as well and re-installing will get me nowhere. anyone have any clue? i'm sure it's something simple but i cant figure it out

I have some Bookmarks on my laptop. I have some of these Bookmarks (Not all) on my tablet, plus some other Bookmarks.

If I sync them, which direction does the sync work in? Will all my Bookmarks on my laptop now appear on my tablet (Which I do not want to happen)? Will all my Bookmarks on my tablet now appear on my laptop (Which I do want)? Will I end up with two copies of most Bookmarks, because all my laptop Bookmarks are transfered to my tablet, plus all my tablet Bookmarks are transfered to my laptop?

I cannot find any explanatioin of what Sync actually does.
