Okay....... I noticed this morning that Firefox updated automatically when I started it. I then went to log onto a website and noticed that my PassWordBox icon is not there anymore, and the webpage did not automatically add my password. I checked my add-on manager and it shows PassWordBox as "enabled" and on my Firefox system.

I checked the solutions page and did what was suggested --

hi lnp00, yes you can uninstall beta and reinstall a regular firefox release version from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all - all your data like passwords, bookmarks and customizations will remain in place..."

......but this did nothing. My PassWordBox icon and functionality still does not exist.

I need help, please, to (1) prevent updates from happening automatically that would prevent PassWordBox from functioning; and, (2) get my PassWordBox back !!

I understand that Mozilla/Firefox makes a conscience effort to protect our systems - but if I, the consumer, have added an add-on that I use a lot and feel comfortable with it should not be automatically non-usable by Firefox. That should be my decision.......
