Currently, Firefox opens OBJ files as text. I want to send them to the Microsoft 3D Viewer which is the default application in Windows for these kinds of files. All I can do right now is right click on the file, save the file, then open with the 3D Viewer. I have gone to settings/General then down to applications and I can't add any files there. (Why not?) It doesn't matter if I choose to save or open files, the OBJ file still displays as text in Firefox. How do I get Firefox to send instead of display these files as text?

I run a server which is ONLY accessible from my own IP address. I have a particular script on that server which deletes certain log and temporary data files at the end of a job run. I have a problem where those files being deleted WITHOUT me visiting the page !!

Somehow Firefox appears to be randomly visiting that page all on it's own, without a window or tab open which is then deleting the files at the wrong times without me doing anything.

I have put some tracking in the script and the http request is DEFINITELY coming from my IP.

The user agent is being reported as: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/115.0

The page address is not being recorded in my browsing history.

How is this happening ? I only have 2 extensions installed: Tab Reloader and UBlock Origin.

Is there a way to track ALL activity that Firefox is doing so I can trace where this is coming from please ?

I'll point out that to my knowledge, this is ONLY happening on this specific page on my own server and not anywhere else that I am aware of. All my other scripts on that server have tracking as well, but none of them have been randomly run.

I need to track this down as right this moment I have the original script renamed and I'm having to use £%~£%&{ chrome to run it as I cannot trust FF NOT to run it !!!!

I am currently using Ubuntu 24.04. I recently switched from the snap ubuntu package to using the firefox APT package. However, I've noticed this really weird issue. Whenever I download a file, it always seems to have the "file://" link or mime type.

Say for example I download an mp4 video, trying to open it via firefox results in a dialog asking me to "select which application i want to open this file link in"

I have tried refreshing firefox, and tried completely removing it from my operating system (a search of my entirety of / showed no traces of anything relating to firefox), but even after a clean install, the issue persisted.

The only way I found that can fix this issue is by using firefox nightly, or using the firefox flatpak. And I'd prefer to not use either.

I was monitoring the browser console, and upon clicking on the file in the downloads list, It seems that firefox gets this error:

I believe I have troubleshooted this as much as possible on my end, and I'm unsure of what to do about this. Could I please get a bit of help?

ever time i watch something i will go to pause it and noting will happen and if hover over a video and preview it won`t stop until i close the tab how do i turn this off?

I'm a user of Mozilla, it's my main browser. I use it for everything and especially for Youtube. But, recently, some changes have appeared and not for better. I don't know why or if it's only me. The thing is Youtube is not like the real site but something else and so i lose options or settings. I don't have anymore the mutiple screen size options. There's a button that says "watch this on Youtube" while i'm litteraly on Youtube.. And now i want to watch a video with a age restriction and it'tells me i have to be connected to Youtube while i'm connected.

Can someone answer me about this or make it noticed by Mozilla employees ?

Hello. I am not familiar with this end to end encryption that Facebook now does for Messenger but now when I try to use Video Calling/Chat it tells me it is not supported by my browser, Firefox. I have never had any problems with it before. Is there a fix? Thanks

The behavior began with fifteen to twenty crash messages appearing. After which the browser would stop responding and be unable to reach out to the internet.

Network connectivity was confirmed as I was able to access my VPN and corporate teams.

I submitted as many crash reports as I could. Eventually the crash reporter ceased to function. The message is:

Firefox had a problem and crashed. Unfortunately, the crash reporter is unable to submit a report for this crash.

Only a full reboot of the machine restored functionality but only temporarily. It returns after being put into sleep mode.

Running firefox in safe mode does not restore functionality. The behavior persists.

I am fully up to date according to firefox.

I am running a Lenovo Thinkpad Windows 11.

Every other browser works fine. This one stopped dead on Win10 and Android9. It wont stream even in safe and my Android has no add ons

When I open my emails, I get an automatic default to email REPLY. I cannot open my emails for reading and attachments. Also, I no longer get the time of the email listed. How do I restore my settings?

I'd like to know if there is a way to remove firefox relay from the context menu, as per screenshot. I really like the relay icon on the email fields, but I don't want it to show on the context menu and I found no such option on the relay extension. Is there a solution to this?

My Windows 10 Pro laptop computer crashed a couple of days ago and no longer works. I am considering replacing it with a new Macbook Air. My files are backed up with Carbonite. Will I be able to get my saved passwords back by restoring my Firefox profile to the proper folder on the Mac? (I already know that Carbonite's backup program will not do a "file restore" between Mac and Windows; I will likely be paying Carbonite an extra $100 so they can put my files on an external drive and ship i to me.) | (I have a lot of the passwords saved in Safari on my iPhone and old iPad mini 2, but there are some I did not want to save on the mobile devices. They are also not on the much older Windows laptop I am currently using. Therefore, I cannot access certain sites right now unless I am willing to change the passwords.)

This has occurred recently after I had a very short power outage. Firefox has been acting weird ever since.

My display is too big now and I lose parts of webpages in the "edges"? Search bar when I first sign on shows 120%. How do I get back to 100%? Please no technical jargon. If I can't fix this,will have to quit using Firefox.

Windows 10, fully updated with the latest firefox version. Email program is MS Outlook through my employer. Email notifications are overwhelmingly loud if the global volume is sufficient for viewing content. Playing with the volume mixer doesn't help. I have searched for solutions online, and every suggested fix entails features or options that are not available on my system. Please provide complete instructions for Windows 10. Please respond to lanzcc@potsdam.edu
