Firefox closes on my Windows XP PC with AMD Phenom x6 1100T. Then I cloned the system with Norton Ghost and restore it on a PC AMD Phenom x2 550. In this second machine and a copy of the first set Firefox has no problems.
Before that PC AMD Phenom x6 1100T used a Sempron 140 and no problems with Firefox.

The problem is that your AMD Phenom x6 1100t CPU has more than 4 cores. This is a problem that is rare, but not unique to Firefox and not unique to AMD X6s. The corresponding Intel core processors fail the same way. It is not peculiar to Windows 7, or 64 bit operations, either. It fails the same way in WinXP 32 bits, for example. It probably fails in Windows 2000 running on a machine with > 4 cores.
The solution is to edit BOOT.INI per http://support.microsoft.com/kb/289022. The option you want to change or add is called /numproc. You can also do this via a GUI using MSCONFIG. Set /numproc=4 and the problem will go away. This is a reversible operation, just requiring a reboot to effect a change.
This "solution" turns off two cores, not good if you want to use all 6 cores. There must be a better fix for this problem
Edit: I installed Firefox v3.6.23 and now it work perfect with AMD Phenom II x6.
