I have read a number of posts about SOFTRONIC. I remove all references to file names and registry references. I also found a softronic addon in firefox which I removed. I now have GOOGLE home page but every new page via tab ends up with what appears to be my page access history but not in any identifiable order. But while writing this page a Tab with softronic search came up. Another problem I seem to have is my email address has stops(.) in it and I have not been able to register for this forum. I am currently using the latest Beta version of Firefox 13.0 on Windows 7 Professional.

So, when you opened the new tab page in Firefox button, you had a thumbnail for softtronic? This is normal. the new tab has been redesigned to show recently and heavily accessed pages for quick access. To remove a page from the list, simply hover over it, and click the little X that appears in the right hand corner of the thumbnail. It will remove that page from the list.
Now, as for your email not working, that doesn't sound like a Firefox problem, as mozilla has nothing to do with your email. You'd have to take that up with the company that hosts your email (comcast, google, aol, etc.)

Many Thanks. I have deleted all the grid entries 45 of them and clicked on grid symbol in top right of page. Now I get blank page when choosing a new tab. As for the stops in email address. I forgot to check out my spam. Activation message was in there. Thanks again.
