Where did the top of my page go? I hate it like this. It's a nusiance and time consuming. Please put it back like it was!

You've fixed it so Firefox and whatever Internet page I'm on, goes clear to the top of my screen. That makes the address, Google and all other icons disappear. It is a nusiance to go up there to get it back and I lose it before I can click and have to do it again. I do not like, I repeat: I do not like it like this. Put it back like it was and stop all this wasted time fishing for that line of icons. Thanks.

It sounds like you got into "full screen" mode by accident. To get out of Full Screen mode, press the F11 key on your keyboard, or move your mouse to the top right-hand corner of the screen and click on the button that looks like two overlapping windows.

If that doesn't help, try this article for some other possibilities: Restore the Menu bar in Firefox

I am not sure what you mean, and there was no cosmetic change between version 6 and 7, but these lines of icons are called "toolbars" and you can reenable them in case they were disabled by accident. Click on the top-left "Firefox" button and select Options to enable the missing toolbar, like Navigation Toolbar to see the address or Google Toolbar for Google stuff.

Google Toolbar has actually been discontinued by Google, which is probably why it's been disabled or uninstalled during the upgrade, but you can still use it if you install Mozilla "Add-on Compatibility Reporter" add-on.

I forgot to ask whether this still happens if you start Firefox with add-ons disabled.

And for more possible solutions, see Navigation buttons like back, home, bookmarks and reload are missing
