Hello 1000islands, this kind of message, usually, coming from the server, try to reload the webpage while bypassing the cache using one of the following steps:
- Hold down the Shift key and click the Reload button with a left click.
OR
- Press Ctrl + F5 or Ctrl + Shift + R (Windows and Linux)
- Press Command + Shift + R (Mac)
Let us know if this solves the issues you are having.
thank you
I have done all that and still get the message.
It's worse on some websites than others.
It only happens on the laptop running Windows 8, my other running XP has absolutely no issues what so ever. I wish I could load XP on this one.
Hello, First of all Can you please try Updating your OS ( Windows ) check out for all the updates .
After doing that if problem still persist then
Check the connection settings.
- Tools > Options > Advanced > Network : Connection > Settings
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Options+window+-+Advanced+panel
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.
See "Firefox connection settings":

Turn Off your Internet security software for a minute and check it again, also, try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that turns off some settings and disables most add-ons (extensions and themes).
(If you're using an added theme, switch to the Default theme.)
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu by clicking on the Restart with Add-ons Disabled... menu item:
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:
- On Windows: Hold the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"
If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article to find the cause.
To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.
When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help others with the same problem.
Thank you.
It is possible that the server has older security software implemented and doesn't work with TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2.
You can try modify the security.tls.version.min and security.tls.version.max prefs to set which TLS versions are enabled as a test to see if that has effect to access the site.
You may need to close and restart Firefox after changing these prefs.
security.tls.version.min = 0 (1 will disable SSL3 and only enable TLS) security.tls.version.max = 2 (0 will disable TLS 1.0 and higher, leaving only SSL3 enabled)
0 means SSL 3.0, 1 means TLS 1.0, 2 means TLS 1.1, 3 means TLS 1.2 etc.
Where do I go to change these on Firefox version 27?
You can open the about:config page via the location bar and you can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue
Didn't work, so I'm changing back to the default settings
