Flash Not Being Recognized As Installed
I had this problem last year and I was able to fix it by copying the contents of the system32/macromedia/flash folder over to the firefox/plugins folder. This solution isn't working this time. It seems to have resulted from installing the latest player.
I have tried absolutely every suggestion made for every similar inquiry posted. I've uninstalled and reinstalled both Flash and Firefox so many times I've lost count. The same is true for resetting Firefox. Firefox simply will not recognize the plugin. I have, of course, checked the Firefox utilities for identifying installed plugins.
I desperately need a fresh solution. Anybody else have this problem?

If Firefox doesn't find the Flash plugin in its install location the you are likely missing the registry key that Firefox uses to scan for the Flash plugin.
You can copy the plugin files to the browser\plugins folder or to a plugins folder in the current Firefox profile folder or the parent Mozilla\plugins folder. The plugins folder in the Firefox program folder is no longer used.
Thanks for your response.
I'm having difficulty finding the current plugins folder. Where is it located, if not program files/Mozilla Firefox/plugins?
Okay, I seem to have solved my problem with your help. There actually was no plugins folder in the Mozilla Firefox/browser folder. I cut and pasted the old plugins folder into the browser folder and that seems to have done the trick!
