How do I keep the "activate plugins" dropdown hidden when I navigate to a site with plugins with click-to-play enabled?
I have had plugins.click_to_play set to true since it was available. Since Firefox 18, though, every time I navigate to a page with plugins, I always get this dropdown menu: http://kb.mozillazine.org/images/Click_to_Play-ActivateFx17.png
It's pretty obnoxious and distracting, and I would like to keep it hidden until I click the blue lego icon in the address bar, like it always was before Firefox 18. Is there any way to accomplish this so that I don't constantly get this dropdown thrown in my face? Thanks.

Oh wait, I think I see what's going on. I'm noticing that this drop-down doesn't seem to appear if there is a visible plugin element on the page, such as a flash video, which can be clicked on to be activated (example: starbucks.com homepage). But on sites without such a visible element, I get the drop-down (example: http://www.starbucks.com/menu/drinks/tazo-tea). Is what I'm describing the intended functionality, or is this still a bug? Either way, I would like to have it hidden, since the small blue icon is more than sufficient.
Yes, currently the dropdown is only triggered when there are hidden plugins on a page.
However, the click-to-play UI is getting a design overhaul, which should among other things address this being too intrusive.
