pogo & bridge base online sites kicking out of javascript windows without wrnings or error messages; requiring reloading. HAPPENS OFTEN!!!

more options

Since June and all 3 or 4 FF updates; I have had updates of Java, Adobe Flash, and of coarse Windows 7, and my antivirus program Avast. Since then I have had many problems with Pogo.com bridge game and Bridge Base Online; where I used 2 be able to play games. Now I cannot even finish one game without being kicked off.

I have created new profiles; replaced new installations of all those programs (including FF) and even went to prior versions. None of these solved the problems. I also made sure to do Safe Mode and turned parts of FF off or on as were suggested in all the troubleshooting tips, etc. Also same for other programs. Everything points to errors in the Javascripts; either on these sites or in theirs or FF's. I am going to go to IE and try to use it again. I hate it but no choice until something is fixed.

Could you change these three settings:

(1) Disable Firefox's hardware graphics acceleration. You usually need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).

orange Firefox button or classic Tools menu > Options > Advanced

On the "General" mini-tab, uncheck the box for "Use hardware acceleration when available"

(2) Disable Flash's hardware acceleration setting using the steps in this article: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues

(3) Disable Flash player protected mode. In the following article, scroll down to the "Last Resort" section: Adobe Forums: How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?

If you restart Firefox, is the issue resolved, at least with Flash?

On Pogo, are the problem games running in Flash or in Java?
