While browsing and having several tabs open, the previous pages aren't always being saved so I can go back. Say I have 2 tabs open and on the second tab I hit a link to go to another page. It will now forget about the page I was at previously and think of this new page and the first one for this tab. I have also been having problems getting gmail to open properly the first time. It will sit at the end of the loading bar, if I open it again with the first one still there it works after that. All of this started about 1 to 2 weeks ago, before I updated to firefox 4. I uninstalled all of the recent programs that I had put on with no avail. I also tried disabling all of my addons, and didn't see a change.

Chosen solution

This issue can be caused by the McAfee SiteAdvisor extension.

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

That appears to have fixed it. Odd though, cause I have been using every addon including the site adviser for a long time and it was only recently that it started this. They must've updated it and screwed it up. Thanks for the help.
