I can no longer scroll using the arrow keys. Also, Home, End, Pg Up, Pg Dn, and Tab have no effect.

Update (14 Aug 2010) I may have located the problem. When I disabled the Delicious add-in, the keys started working again.

A bit beyond topic: I'm not impressed with the way this forum works. 1) The troubleshooting info I provided with my original post appears to be difficult for the casual reader to see; otherwise, they would have seen that caret browsing was not turned on, and 2) I was unable to add this info as a reply because the forum said I would need to log in to do so, even though I was already logged in, and when I clicked the log in link, it said I was already logged in. So...the forum seems to be broken more than Firefox was.

I have Firefox 3.6.7 and disabling the Delicious addon fixed the problem as well. I will write to them and let them know.

I had this problem. I went to Add-Ons and Uninstalled Delicious

Then reinstalled Delicious and now all the arrow keys, pg up/dwn all work again.

I experienced identical symptoms. In my attempts to diagnose them I learned all about caret browsing and quite a bit about firefox configuration. I also purged my Ubuntu firefox installation and reinstalled to no avail.

Then I disabled the Delicious add-on (which has been installed for months if not over a year) and the symptoms disappeared.

I had a similar problem, could not navigate a page or text any where in firefox using the arrow keys, home/end or page up page down keys. I had to press and hold to make them work.

My problem was caused by adobe acrobat reader, I had a PDF tab open, a tab which was an open PDF document. All keys work fine now the tab is closed.
