Sorry I can't work out how to do the above after a few minutes of trying. My windows 7 machine has been taken over by malware and prevents the download.I think the malware originated from a website pretending to be mozilla.org which I accidentally clicked on.Reinstalling windows has not fixed the problem.i guess they have a robot installing malware to my ip address or something. The offending website is the one that pops up as the number one advertised website when you search for "mozilla firefox" on bing. The website does not appear on google on my Linux machine.Perhaps the malware is introducing the fake website into my search results.I don't know ,I am not an expert.

Chosen solution

Try this URL for the full installer and select what you want - not automated selection based upon operating system or language being used at that URL. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html

A possibility is to open the Mozilla FTP website in Windows Explorer and download the Firefox setup file that way. See "How To Download Firefox On a New Computer Without Using Internet Explorer":

Do be careful on Bing or Google as there are often Ad links above the real search results. The Ad links when search for say Firefox often times leads to questionable sites that may not even be providing a Firefox download, let alone the same clean version you get from mozilla.org
