I inadvertently added some messages to a thread. I am in trouble as I told someone I had not received their message and it was hidden in a thread. I do not wish to use this feature and don't know how to rid the said messages of the thread. I see Ignore thread and watch thread options but no create or delete thread so I don't know how I got into this mess nor how I get out of it.

From the menu bar select View-Sort By-Unthreaded.

No menu bar? Press the alt key.

You are a genius Airmail. Some of the options in Thunderbird seem to be buried deep in menus. I now know how to switch this on and off but may leave it for the time being.
