When I open up the internet I am getting this error message TypeError: navigator.preference is not a function. I have to close this window in order to get onto the internet why is this happening?

navigator.preference is no longer supported in Firefox 4.

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
