Hey,

Since I got the newest update on Firefox, I can’t open any website. When I try to I just get the error message “PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR” I already tried all different ways like deinstalling, cleaning Firefox, deactivating firewall and proxy etc. Now I still can’t access anything via Firefox. Other browsers still work. Before I updated I had a lots of open tabs and windows open if that matters?

Thank you for your answer in advance!!

After the upgrade to 133.0.3, I get, on very numerous sites, the error 'Echec de la connexion sécurisée' with (usually but not only) the detail : PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR'. This even occurs when trying to connect to sites which are assumed to give a correction for this problem :-(. I need a correction or a way to go backwards to previous version. Thanks P.S. I have not found any hint about this in the forum.

Hello

After I have installed the latest ubuntu version on my laptop, I can no longer find any previously used passwords in my firefox account after logging in again. - which means that I now have to log in again everywhere, which is time-consuming and in principle unnecessary, as I had already saved all the passwords in my firefox account before ...

Can you please tell me how I can access my passwords so that I can continue to use them with firefox as I did before?

I thought that even after I update the linux ubuntu operating system on my laptop, I would still have full access to my passwords after logging back into my firefox account, but as I said, this is not the case.

best regards from switzerland

Hi, Is there a way to get rid of the messages about the upcoming browser update for Firefox on Linux?

The message appears at the second launch on a new profile and then at random moments in new tab. Message attached.

I tried already whats below, but its not helping: user_pref("app.update.enabled", false); user_pref("app.update.silent", true); user_pref("browser.startup.homepage_override.mstone", "ignore"); user_pref("startup.homepage_welcome_url.additional", "");

As title. Installed the latest update as soon as i came out. I get the "Welcome to Firefox" tab and the 2nd tab "Firefox Privacy Notice" opened.

The 1st "Welcome" tab, has the box and buttons asking me to import old setting and all that jazz. I have down in quiet a few times and nothing is taken root. I have went through the process of installing all my old addons and extensions, I am not sure how many times, as I use them every time I open my browser to watch Twitch or Youtube, Beyond 20, and what have you. And of course it keeps resetting my toolbar and the bookmarks and settings on my homepage.

I thought at first, it might be buggy and after a day or two it would get fixed an updated. But alas, nothing thus far and this is forcing me to use other craptastic browsers I rather not even have installed on my system.

I have refreshed Firefox a time or two, I uninstalled and reinstalled, but I am afraid to completely wipe it out, as I do not want to lose my bookmarks, passwords, and other saved information, that I probably should not have saved but I do because my memory is "teh suck".

I would appreciate any insight on how tor resolve this issue.

Thanks!

I just migrated my Thunderbird from my old MacBook to my new Mac Mini. I tried following the official instructions and the instructions in the linked thread, but I experienced the same problem the other users did— that Thunderbird, on the new Mac, would act as if it was setting up a new account, even after replacing the entire Thunderbird folder in the user's Library folder. With some investigation, I was able to detect how to fix the migration, though I can't tell you why Thunderbird behaves this way.

Here are the instructions I followed: [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/que.../1397228]

The process of copying the old Thunderbird is correctly described. However, there is still some funny business on the receiving end.

What I determined was that Thunderbird, for whatever reason, wasn't reading the information in the profiles.ini and installs.ini in a way that launched the migrated installation. Instead, it still created a new installation and a new profile and overlaid those on top of the information in the migrated files, making the newly created profile the default and ignoring the migrated profile when launching.

In order to correct this, I needed to manually edit the profiles.ini and installs.ini file (in a simple text editor) to use the NEW installation but substituting in my MIGRATED profile for the newly created one.

I'm sorry I didn't take screen shots before deleting the files, but the important thing is to edit both files so the both are using the NEWLY CREATED installation ID but that both files only reference the OLD profile ID (deleting all other mentions of the newly created profile and deleting mentions of the old installation ID. This is just a copy/paste operation.

I've attached screenshots of mockups of what my new profiles.ini and installs.ini look like. The important thing is that both have the NEWLY CREATED installation ID (not the one copied from the old Mac) with the OLD profile ID.
