The latest version (134.0) suffers from glitchy/choppy audio while using Bluetooth to listen to YouTube (does not happen without Bluetooth). I can say for a fact that this is an issue with the version, because manually downgrading to 133.0 solved the problem immediately! I think this is quit a major issue for many users and needs addressing promptly (As of now my fix is simply to stick to the older 133.0, which is a shame...) Thanks!

Firefox will show that audio is "playing" but no sound will come out, unless I connect a bluetooth speaker or headphones.

Solutions tried (and failed):

1. uninstalling all audio drivers 2. checking if it's a problem with my computer (it's not, every other application plays sound) 3. enabling cookies 4. allowing autoplay video and audio 5. completely uninstalling and clean installing firefox again 6. turning off bluetooth to see if the pairing is the problem 7. cleared cache 8. turned off any adblock and/or extensions whatsoever 9. allowed drm content to play 10. allowed pop-ups 11. reset settings preferences

any help or input is appreciated. Thank you!

The latest update of firefox 135.0 for Android has audio issues. When I listen to music on bandcamp or you tube the audio makes a crackeling sound with sporadic drop outs. My wi fi is a very stable fiber optic provider, I did restet the router and run speed test to double check. Not a problem with my Bluetooth headphones since I re paired them. I also re installed Firefox to no avail. Samsung internet has no audio issues currently. I turned off u block origin also. It seems to be isolated to firefox version 135.0. My system is Android 14 with ui 6.1 on a Samsung a23 5g. I have seen other users complain about this with no real answer. Spent a good part of the day trying to figure it out.

When I navigate to youtube and try to watch a video, the player does not load. It just shows white in the space where the player should be. No video, no audio, no nothing. No matter what video I click, the same thing happens. The only workaround I have found is that if I go to a page with an embedded youtube video, and click the "watch on youtube" link that appears in it, it will load a youtube page that can play videos normally. I can use that page to navigate youtube and it will operate normally. However if I type in youtube.com or get to the site some other way, the issue happens where it is only white space. It is very frustrating.

Thunderbird had never crashed before, but lately, after the last 2 Windows 10 updates within the last 2 weeks, it crashes. It's at 128.5.2esr, the next-to-last update.

It always crashes when I choose "About" and it starts downloading the update. It appears that it doesn't get the 1st byte before crashing. It will still say 0 bytes when it crashes.

It also crashes if I leave it running and the screen goes through the screen saver mode and turns black. Twice it crashed while I was using it.

I thought it might have something to do with the fact that I had 4,000 emails in my Inbox (is there a limit?), so I deleted many and moved many to folders. I now have just under 1,000 in my Inbox.

I also tried restarting in Troubleshoot Mode and updating, but it still crashed at 0 bytes downloaded.

Is there a way to manually download the update and apply it? I can't find it on the website.

The next thing I know to do is reinstall. Is there anything I can try before doing that? Would you suggest uninstall first or reinstall over what's here?

It's not my phone or headphones - I checked, using the YouTube and Netflix apps. Bit it seems to only happen when I'm using headphones.

I have the same problem as in jimkimbroughjr 1/30/25, 9:13 AM message about bookmarks. I have tried the steps in the response, and they do not work for me. My bookmarks disappeared this afternoon, although they were all there this morning. I went to some sites I remembered, and only one had the blue star in the menu bar. Trying to recover the bookmarks through Settings did not work, even when I saved a bookmarks backup file to HTML and tried to import that. Troubleshooting information should be below. I had to use the manual method and I hope I copied and pasted the data correctly. Back to the bookmark problem: Now what?

I have been using a website for years that sync's my calendar and contacts. The app is AkrtuoSync. When using the app, I simply configure it with my Outlook exchange account, go to a website such as http\\ev367.akrname.com and the app syncs my data from my Outlook account to my Android. Samsung A52. The app apparently stopped working due to the Firefox update of 2/4/25? And now I cannot sync my data. This is actually a secure site as you need credentials to open it. Any help to get Firefox to accept this URL would be appreciated.

When I log in to Thunderbird, performance is fine for a little while, and then suddenly and for no apparent reason it slows down so that it is unuseable (5-10 seconds to complete one click command). The task manager tells me that it is occupying c10% of CPU. After a while it stops being slow and I can work for another few minutes, and then it slows down again. It is unuseable. I am using Thunderbird 128.6esr (32 bit) with Windows 10.

All help gratefully received!

for about a month my firefox home screen is greyed out in the "thought provoking stories" and it is continuously flashing. Everything works, ie. I can still search the net, etc. but this is driving me crazy. I have tried everything from checking settings, through extension conflicts and resetting, but nothing makes any difference. I even uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox but it came back with the same problem. i have windows 10 and am getting ready to upgrade to 11, but I would like everything working as it should before doing the upgrade. I even tried to change my profile, but I'm not sure how to do it and it made no difference. Any help will be much appreciated.

I've been noticing lately that when watching a video in landscape orientation fullscreen every now and then the screen rotates back to portrait orientation. Note that I do not touch the phone when this happens nor is there any bump or other even minor movement.

I also noticed that simply pausing and playing the video fixes this.

I have a short screen capture video but I can't attach videos to this.

Since no one responded I was able to search some data and contacted a person and they told me what to do and fixed it.. so thanks. I am still not happy how Firefox is working since the last update.

i have to use Windows 7 due to special circumstances and everything was fine till the last automatic update a few days ago. Since then my blog WP will not open and the browser freezes on many sites and will not even fill out, takes forever to access some links.. interestingly the links from Greece and France both work much better than more local ones. I did a full system restore and was able to access some sites as noted but I need to access all my data on EQ and Volcanoes and Solar activity since I post 2x a day and being located with the home office in N CA you know how important this information is to be prepared. So I have been using Windows 7 and Word 3 and doing fine till the last update. I thought doing a restore point to January would fix it but it didn't when my husband passed I lost my computer guru he built computers so he knew about all this stuff. Its been hard to keep this one going. But so far I am able to use my laptop Toshiba for Windows 7 . Thank you, any help will be appreciated. WP is the most important link that I can't access anymore. Just leaves a blank page. The N CA USGS is another one that does not work properly. the laptop is fine since I switched over to Chrome temporarily till I can fix this problem Chrome is working well. But I want Firefox and I understand you do not support Windows less than 8.1 But it was fine till the last update and I was always taught to go back to the last time it worked.

I am using a Mac Mini Pro M2 chip with 32GB of RAM . I have just opened Firefox to discover it is taking 10GB of that RAM. It is the most voracious user. If I have it open longer it gets up to 16GB of memory. I often have 5 or 6 tabs open when I am working. My other browser is Chrome that barely makes it to 1GB

Version 128.6.1esr, This just recently started. When I open an email and navigate to an advertisement picture within that email I used to be able to left click on that picture and it would open up a window in my chrome web browser. Now, when I navigate to that picture, all it does is show the icon that allows you to expand the size of that picture. Any idea's on how I can restore it back to the mouse arrow to allow me to click on the embedded link within the picture?

I have a repeatable issue that was present in Firefox but is now fixed (automatically, nothing I did). Hoping that we can find a solution in Thunderbird also.

I have a Mac (Intel) with a VPN connection (wireguard) to my office just for office traffic. Regular traffic bypasses the VPN. Every time the machine goes to sleep for an extended amount of time (overnight), Thunderbird's DNS resolutions fail. I have 8 different IMAP accounts (including 2 gmail accounts). None are using the VPN connection but direct email address.

After sleep, there is no more connections and the culprit is DNS failures on all accounts. This is the only software (and I have many running simultaneously!) that is affected. Solution is to shutdown Thunderbird and restart. Resetting the dnscache on mac doesn't work. *SOMETIMES* disconnecting from VPN and reconnecting resets it, but not always.

I had the issue with both Mozilla products (Firefox and Thunderbird) and was just living with it. But a recent update in Firefox fixed it on that software. I haven't looked at the release logs to see if anything changed.

So I'm guessing there is something we can do with Thunderbird to reset the DNS or something else when it comes back from sleep.

Let me know if any more information would be helpful.

Current Version is Thunderbird Nebula 128.7.0esr (64-bit)

There has been an odd issue with my audio while using YouTube on Firefox, random stuttering that wasn't there before.

I use JBL Tune 525BT headphones and I never had this problem before. I have tried:

  • Resetting my headphones
  • Uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox
  • Turning my headphones off and reconnecting them
  • Uninstalling some extensions

As well as resetting my phone, but nothing seemed to help with the stuttering. It isn't a problem with my internet, I have triple checked and it isn't a problem with my headphones either, as audio on apps such as:

  • YouTube music
  • Spotify
  • SoundCloud

Has no stutter.

There's also another thing: Whenever I enter YouTube, the 'Open in another app' pop-up appears, even though it never did that before.

I'm not sure what the issue is, as the problem randomly appeared and I'm not fully sure how to fix it and I've tried multiple times already. If anyone knows how to fix it or even what the problem is, their insights would be greatly appreciated! Much thanks.
