I've just updated from 115.04esr to 115.11esr for macOS to the heap of unwelcome troubles. This experience is extremely unfriendly and annoyingly brazen on part of the Firefox developers.

Every time I launch the browser it starts up from its default profile, not mine. I lost access to all my themes, extensions, history, devices and settings as a consequence, and cannot regain it.

All efforts to launch FF from another profile upon opening of a new instance resulted in a dialog nagging me to move the app to /Applications even though I always kept it in a subfolder of my choosing, and intend on continuing to do so. Refusing to submit opens the default new Firefox profile in every instance.

Closing Firefox instances is impeded by a Chrome-like first-after-installation closure prompt asking to have the browser warn me every time I'm closing the browser. Repeatedly rejecting the prompt makes no difference.

The flatly blunt and pervasively arrogant manner, in which the new Firefox forces its way, is off the charts and is unacceptable.

Is there a straightforward way of restoring the old behaviour and telling it to honour my settings?

My firefox disappeared after i found out someone using Windows 7 used my hotmail account address.I dont know how to rectify this and get my firefox back and change my email address with both Mozilla and Microsoft Outlook

When I click on "Bookmark current tab," the small bookmark window opens as usual. But if I then click on "save," nothing happens. The bookmark does not get saved anywhere and the window does not close. Likewise, if I click on "cancel," nothing happens and the window also stays open. Only if I click somewhere outside of the bookmark window does the bookmark get saved and the window close. This has happened only in the current and previous version of Firefox. How can I fix this?

When are you going to fix fire fox broser takes forever to change senes scrol bar on side dont work on your broser crome dont have this problem so why dont you fix it been doing that about 2 months

I'm using bandlab to link me and my friends who are hundreds of miles away to make music. Firefox and all browsers crash a lot with a "high memory usage" alert. But these are pretty big projects. I have 32GB RAM, this thing is crashing at much lower RAM levels than I would like for it to use. like 1GB seems to be the limit (i dont know that number if its exact or correct)

Is there any setting where I can INCREASE memory usage so I dont lose work from random crashes due to memory usage?

I have been unable to receive the OTP I need to log in. My username and password work fine but then I try to get to the OTP, it doesn't show up on my email and the cell phone number is an old one. Please help. I have a lot of shopping to do.

Hey everyone, I need some help with a puzzling issue. I've noticed that a website (https://socialhubin.com/how-to-pause-instagram-reels-like-a-pro-uncovered/) I'm working on functions perfectly fine when I use Google Chrome, but when I try to access it using Mozilla Firefox, I encounter a '404 error' or sometimes the layout is broken with images displaying incorrectly. Can anyone shed some light on what might be causing this discrepancy? Your insights would be greatly appreciated!

The blinking screen is on ebay but it just keeps on blinking. I have tried other programs and it only happens with this one and only with ebay. I have used a free Hit Counter for many years that I got from https://www.freecounterstat.com/

I have 3 such counters and have stopped working in the latest version of Firefox on my desktop. They work with Firefox on my iPad and Android phone. They also work fine if I use the Edge Browser but I prefer using Firefox as I have for many years.

when i fill in a form on a site (example cvs) it will not send and my saved payment information shows when i click into the field but will not stay- i must continually manually fill in my payment information

If you entered the right address, you can:

   Check that Firefox has permission to access the web (you might be connected but behind a firewall)

Hi. I am having problems with pages in some websites not loading - eg games on Facebook, my account page in my bank website, etc. Facebook works fine but games do not load anymore (just get the loading message but the circle just keeps spinning, and I can login to my bank but it won't load any further pages. The games problem first started around February with one or two games, but has subsequently become worse so the ONLY game that will load is Happy Acres! The problem with my bank (and a couple of others) started about a week or so ago. I've been (reluctantly) using Microsoft Edge the past couple of days with no problem other than it's sloooooow!! Was thinking of downloading Chrome but haven't done so yet. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be extremely grateful. Many thanks in advance.

For some reason, the bullets used to hide a password are not rendered properly in Firefox. As shown by the first uploaded image, they are displayed as big white-filled circles.

This problem does not occur on chromium-based browsers, as shown by the second uploaded image, which is a screenshot taken from chromium, on the exact same session.

I have already done the following:

• verified that the "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of your selections above" box is checked in my preferences. I have also tried disabling and re-enabling this option
• launched FF in troubleshoot mode to disable extensions and hardware acceleration
• verified that gfx.downloadable_fonts.enabled is set true in my about:config

All of these attempts however failed to solve the problem.

This problem is occurring on a fresh install of a Linux distro, so I first thought that I might be missing some fonts, but the problem might lie somewhere else since the symbols are properly displayed in chromium-based browsers.

The Copilot website text field is the only text field I have encouraged where typing text does not get automatically underlined for spelling mistakes. I have the box ticked for 'Check your spelling as you type' in the general settings, and I have tried changing the about:config layout.spellcheckDefault value to 2. Nothing has worked.

The spell checking feature for the Copilot website text field can be enabled, but you have to manually enable it each time by right clicking the text field and making sure "Check Spelling" is ticked. It is quite annoying.

The "Check Spelling" setting on every other text field from every other website like this very text field I'm typing into right here right now for this firefox support forum, has the  "Check Spelling" setting ticked by default.  

Anybody else experiencing this issue?

Hi,

The Lower Toolbar is quite handy, with for example Roboform.

Unfortunately, the way it's implemented, it comes above the lower part of the browser window, instead of being inserted at the bottom while the browser windows height is reduced.

That hides the search box when you type Control-F.

It would be nice if this could be addressed in a future release. I am using Firefox Developer 127.0b2.
