1. Close Firefox (FF) with some tabs open 2. While FF is closed the websites are updated 3. Open Firefox, tabs reopen 4. Go to tabs

Expected: Tabs should the latest version of the website (ie the page has been refreshed)

Actual: Tabs are showing the old, previous (cached) versions of the website and not refreshing to show the latest

User has to manuall refresh each tab to see the latest version of the page

Are other people seeing this issue?

When I start PiP on Youtube via the keyboard shortcut 'command+option+shift+]', the miniplayer becomes focused, such that pressing 'control+tab' only cycles through options in the miniplayer, rather than switching tabs. It seems to me that the fix would be to force the focus back to the main window either automatically, or if control is held while pressing tab.

I would like to have my tabs I use everyday reopen when I turn the browser back on. In settings I have checked the box for "open previous windows & tabs" However, when I reopen the browser the previous tabs are not there and I have to recreate the line-up of my tabs which takes time etc. How do I fix this? When I want to duplicate a tab, can I configure the 'duplicated' tab so it appears exactly next to the tab I'm duplicating instead of at the end of all the open tabs at the far right end of my browser? If I can't would it be too much of a bother to include that as an option we can configure? Maybe it's ridiculous or I'm using the interface wrong but it's super annoying to have to manually grab the duplicated tab and scoot it back next to the tab you duplicated from. Thanks!

I used Firefox a few years ago, and I'm using the latest Firefox for days. Sometimes inactive tabs are auto-closed. How can I disable the feature or where can I check the URLs for closed tabs?

Hi, I have the settings of 'General > Startup > [checked] Open previous windows and tabs' on. Most of the time it works as expected, but there are several occurrences when all of the sudden all of my pinned tabs are gone. When this happened, I usually tried the 'Command + Shift + T' to restore them. Sometimes they came back, some other times, they don't.

Can you fix it?

It's starting to get really irritating because I can have >12 tabs pinned and it's troublesome to have to remember them all in case this happens again in the future.

My Firefox browser just updated to version 143.0.1. When the browser reopened, there was an instructional page that opened in a new tab describing the Unload Tab function. I followed the instructions, right-clicked on the tab, the drop down menu appeared, but there wasn't an Unload Tab option. However, there was a Reload Tab option shown.

How do I resolve this? I'm using a macOS 15.6.1.

I tried unchecking and rechecking all start settings. When I close Firefox, it asks if I want to close all tabs - the only option is to cancel, leaving Firefox open, or Yes, which would close all my tabs and not reopen the tabs on startup.

My recent history is also missing.

All of my tabs at the top of the Firefox window have vanished. There's a list of websites at the left side to choose -- but I am not able to open more than one window. I want to restore all of my tabs!

[I use firefox on Mac, Windows, and Android, but the issue seems to effect me mostly on Mac and Windows) I'm just guessing this to be a browse issue. However I won't miond the post being moved to a more relevant sub-forum.

I keep arriving at this solution when searching for a solution to the increasing number of sites using the irritatingly abused stay/leave page question-dialogue box which pops up when i want to leave a page. The common solution appears to be https://userscripts.org/scripts/show/23865 However, when this page loads, I just get an empty box which looks like one of those ones which normally contain scripts to run or stop running certain things, or even to add or embed items etc.

When researching I often need to load lots of pages top go through. however, when i then need to close them all, i end up manually having to complete these irritating dialogies which are OBVIOUSLY really meant for pages where you may be filling in a form, or editing something, and perhaps have not completed filling it in. However, many sites irritatingly abuse this and just add the feature anyway. It just tells yiou they are dodgy rather than trustworthy. Any up-to-date advice as on July 2025? Any trusted new extensions/addons for this as with auto-cookie form-fillers perhaps?
