Ever since the latest update i've noticed my firefox browser after using it for a while starts eating up all the ram until my computer freezes and needs to restart, i've heard this issue happen to others too but i am wondering if there are any ways to prevent it or will there be any updates to fix it?

I use my firefox on bazzite and have nothing else running in the background, after a while i watch the stats in my task manager and i see firefox using over 10GB of ram and climbing and have to shut it down before it freezes my pc

(can't show any screenshots because if i do then my pc would probably crash when trying to SS it while it has its problem)

Hi a few days ago I updated my firefox version 155.0 well I had 3 open tabs going back to and forth to different sites. when the update firefox popped up, I mistakenly hit update & a notice said firefox is attempting to save these sites, I closed the notice then shut down my laptop,

I never take a update with any thin running. when I turned on the w-10 lap top seem to take awhile to load, so I let it load, and then I shut it down completely. I went to task manager and my read write on my c: drive was running at 100% for about 15-20 minutes. I went to firefox settings and re-set "cache at startup"

This seemed to help some, but still not sure if it is locked in a loop, looking for those those saved files.

I am 80 now and not a pc savvy as I was. not sure what the normal time the c drive for read write should stay at 100% after starting my laptop, I know there is indexing going on, but I thought it would be done by now. after. Thank You Gary Kouri

I’d like to report a serious issue with Firefox lately. The browser has been performing very poorly and frequently becomes “Not Responding.” In many cases, websites fail to load properly or get stuck indefinitely, even though my internet connection is working normally.

I’m experiencing these issues on the latest version of Windows 11 with the latest version of Firefox. This has become quite frustrating and significantly affects my daily browsing experience.

I hope the Firefox team can investigate these stability and website-loading issues and provide a fix soon. Firefox used to be much more reliable, but recently the overall experience has been very disappointing.

starting about a month ago, my Firefox browser has become very slow. Sometimes now when I click a link (this happens about every 4-5 links) the spinning wheel of death appears and the browser doesn't respond. I have to force-quit

I'm experiencing continuous screen blackouts or glitches. These are unaffected by the site I'm on and only occur for Firefox browser. When I switch a tab or click a button the browser blacks out and becomes unresponsive then comes back on after a few seconds. This happens repeatedly. Clearing the cache, running a repair, and uninstalling / reinstalling the app have had no affect on it.

Since the last update 155.01 I can't use Firefox as it freezes and hangs after 3 - 10 seconds. On Windows 10 , 64 bit. There seems a bug with the last update for Windows 10 users

Not sure the crash report is related to the issue.

The same issue happens to all of my 3 Windows 10 PCs since the update from today.

I have uninstalled Firefox and downloaded again, but same issue happens again.

I cleared the cache also but to no avail

How can I use Firefox again?

I keep having problems with Firefox hanging or disconnecting. I have followed all the steps in the [Hanging] page, and I still have to shut it down and restart it often, sometimes as much as several times a day. I also frequently have to force quit the browser, or I get a message saying "Firefox is open, but not responding" when I try to restart it.

when I click on my AOL mail in a few seconds it freezes my computer, if on chrome it works fine, had computer we dune $155 but still the same. this dose the same thing on my lap top. all other sites work fine till I click on AOL mail.......

After updating to Firefox 153.0.1 on my 2026 MacBook Pro Silicon running Tahoe 26.5.2, my Firefox sidebar refuses to open, either by toggling the menu bookmark sidebar icon or pressing the shortcut keys.

Whenever I click any link that will play a video in a video playing website such as YouTube, Instagram or TikTok, it will cause the entire tab to glitch out and freeze in on the page it was on before I clicked the link.. The entire tab completely freezes and never unfreezes itself, with the cursor having whatever appearance it had when the page froze, and being unable to click anything. The only thing it can do is type a new URL into the search bar, but the search button/enter bar is also ineffective, so I'm stuck on a frozen webpage unless I close the tab or change to another one. I've tried troubleshooting, fiddling with the autoplay setting and turning off extensions, none of which worked. Any ideas?

Firefox hangs when Thunderbird is open. At this moment, Thunderbird is not open and Firefox is hanging on opening any web page. I had to use Chrome to get to this site and request help. Here is info about my PC:

An 8 second delay when I open Firefox for the first time.. Once it has been opened once, it reopens immediately when required. The problem has been present since I installed Linux Mint 9 months ago, Linux Mint 22.2 then, since upgraded to 22.3 Zena. I can live with it, but it is very frustrating! I have tried the obvious things like removing extensions, but I suspect it is a "Linux" connectivity problem rather than a "Mozilla" problem.

When i am trying to copy the link or share the webpage to somewhere in my android(samsung). It got stuck not like working, but it did not copy or open then sharing window instantly it takes time to open the sharing window or link to copy, it have to send firefox to background and when I came to it then it do my work, so it is so messy so I have to go for other browser most of the time.

First, I press fullscreen mode on any video on the firefox browser. Second, when I enter fullscreen mode the pop-up that notiifes me that I entered fullscreen mode appears but it takes multiple minutes to disappear.
